What did our critic think of PIPPIN at West Fargo High Theatre?

The next broadcast of Rob Morrison's Musical Theatre Melodies will pay tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Steven Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's Tony Award winning musical PIPPIN, featuring interviews with Tony Award winner John Rubenstein and songs from the original Broadway cast recording with special narration by Tony Award nominee Walter Willison.

The Japanese-language production of the Tony-winning revival of Pippin, directed by Tony winner Diane Paulus, resumes its tour at the Orix Theater in Osaka September 23 following the cancellation of its performance in Tokyo, September 10-19 due to COVID cases within the company. The tour reopens at the Orix Theatre in Osaka and continuing through September 27.

The Japanese-Language production of the Tony Award-winning revival of PIPPIN directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus re-opens tonight at the Tokyu Theatre Orb in Tokyo, Japan where it will play through September 19, 2022. The production then moves to the Orix Theater in Osaka where it plays September 23 to 27, 2022. Check out footage here!

The second and final production of Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston’s 2022 season is Stephen Schwartz’s PIPPIN, originally produced on the Broadway stage in 1972 with direction and choreography by Bob Fosse, and revived/reimagined in 2013 by Diane Paulus at the American Repertory Theater before going to Broadway. Undaunted by following in those two very large sets of footsteps, RMT Artistic Director Rachel Bertone forges her own path to stage a version that leads with an enlarged heart and a healthy helping of fun and whimsy.

Rachel Bertone, Artistic Director of Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston, has announced the cast for Pippin, the 2nd and final production in the company's Summer 2022 season. Running from August 5-13, 2022 at the Robinson Theatre, 617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452, Pippin tells the tale of a young prince struggling to decide whether to pursue a peaceful life or to “make magic” with the dazzling troupe of performers that help tell his story.

PIPPIN, written by Roger O. Hirson, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, will run at Playhouse on Park July 6 - August 21, 2022. This will be the final production in Playhouse on Park’s 13th Main Stage Season.

Madison Lyric Stage will present Stephen Schwartz’s musical comedy Pippin, July 21-31.  The production will be presented inside MLS’s brand-new tent on the grounds of Madison’s Deacon John Grave House and will have a big-top carnival theme.

Stephen Schwartz's Tony Award-winning 1972 musical Pippin celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and Oakland University's Department of Theatre is inviting you to join the Guardians of Splendor for some Fosse-inspired magic March 30 – April 3 in Varner Studio Theatre on the OU campus.

Olney Theatre Center announced the full ensemble for its two-weekend concert presentations of Pippin (April 1-3) and Brigadoon (April 8-10).

January 13-16, Outcry Youth Theatre will present Pippin, the musical with a book by Roger O. Hirson and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. This marks the first time that Outcry Youth Theatre will perform in the Terry Martin Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre, usually performing in the smaller Studio Theatre.

Due to ongoing renovations at Oakland University, many of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance’s winter performances will be held at venues throughout Oakland and Macomb counties, in addition to performances being held on the OU campus.

Mad Cow Theatre has announced the third production of its 24th season, the high-energy, award-winning musical Pippin to be performed at Mad Cow's Harriett Theatre on December 1 through 19.

For its first post-pandemic production open to the public, the Nazareth College Theatre and Dance Department will present Pippin, with the unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner and three-time Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz.
