The Human Race embraces its mission of “exploring the human condition” in its 36th season by presenting themes of family, national security, dementia, creativity, race, and autism. Honoring its mission by “promoting enlightenment, inclusion and understanding,” the season includes two World Premieres (one play and one musical), a regional premiere, a Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play, and the return of a favorite.

Tony Award-nominated and five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb has announced the complete line-up for the rescheduled 25th SUMMERWORKS festival of new plays. SUMMERWORKS will run May 20 – July 2, 2022 at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street) and will feature productions of three new plays.

The Tyrones are back this season at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Audible Theater's new production of Eugene O'Neill epic Long Day's Journey Into Night is currently in performances off Broadway, playing through February 20, 2022. At the helm is Tony Award nominee Robert O'Hara, who directs Emmy Award nominee Bill Camp, four-time Obie Award winner Elizabeth Marvel, Tony Award nominee Ato Blankson-Wood, and Jason Bowen in a contemporary reimagining of the classic play.

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced that it will present the 21st Monte Cristo Award to its Founder George C. White. George’s career includes not only his 37 years as President of the O’Neill and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, but also numerous activities and accomplishments in theater throughout the world.
