Karen Jonas has announced the release date for her fifth album, The Southwest Sky and Other Dreams - out August 28.

The Wittliff Collections, an internationally acclaimed collection of Southwest writing, photography, film and music, announces the availability of limited complimentary public seating at four panel discussions that are part of The Wittliff Collections Festival, taking place April 18, 2020. The panel discussions will be held at the W Austin Hotel (200 Lavaca St., Austin, Texas 78701) from 8:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Public seating will be released ten minutes prior to the start of each panel, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Known for their rowdy, energetic performances, Town Mountain has spent most of 2019 on the road, playing major festivals and venues across the country, including the legendary Grand Ole Opry. On September 30, the band made their debut at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, to a sold-out crowd alongside prolific singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen and Grammy-nominee Tyler Childers. Today, JamBase premiered the band's live performance of “Down Low” featuring Childers, who co-wrote the duet with banjo player and vocalist Jesse Langlais for Town Mountain's most recent album, New Freedom Blues. “It's always a pleasure to do shows with Tyler and The Food Stamps,” Langlais explains. “We love the guys and we love the music, brothers in arms! Robert Earl Keen announces the launch of his eighth annual Christmas show with his most extensive tour yet, which will kick off at the Peace Center on Monday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. Opening the show is Austin-based, swamp-pop-soul supergroup Shinyribs.

Tyler Childers' highly anticipated new album, Country Squire, is out today via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records.  Childers' first release in partnership with RCA Records, Country Squire was produced by Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson and recorded The Butcher Shoppe in Nashville.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the 201920 Sam Wanamaker Playhouse Season. Centred around She Wolves and Shrews, the season is a celebration and interrogation of women, power, and the role of the feminine in shaping our past, present and future. The candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse will play host to a world-premiere of Ella Hickson's new play Swive [Elizabeth], Shakespeare's Henry VI, Richard III, and The Taming of the Shrew, and Middleton's Women Beware Women. Sandi and Jenifer Toksvig have written a new family show dubbed, Christmas at the (Snow) Globe, and a series of candlelit ghost tales will include a new story from Jeanette Winterson. Other events running throughout the season include half-term storytelling festival, Half Term Tales at the Globe, with the new Children's Laureate Cressida Cowell, and a double bill of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own and Three Guineas, marking the centenary year since the removal of the sex disqualification act. The Globe's flagship project for secondary and post-16 students, Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank, reaches its 14th year with Macbeth.

On June 21, the Austin, TX-based country rock band Reckless Kelly will release Bulletproof Live via Thirty Tigers. The album is a live recording of their seminal album Bulletproof captured in July and August of 2018 in celebration of the record's tenth anniversary. Today, Taste of Country premiered 'God Forsaken Town (Live),' the third and final single to be released from their forthcoming album.

Fredericksburg, VA-based award-winning Americana artist Karen Jonas is set to release a new album, Lucky, Revisited, on July 19, 2019.
