Tickets are on sale this week for the Adelaide season of the 20th Anniversary Broadway production of Hairspray.

Hey Melbourne, welcome to the 60's! It's time to put on your most colourful and crazily patterned outfit, tease your hair big, bold, and beautiful, and head on down to the Regent Theatre. Hairspray is back and this time it's the original Broadway version of the musical! Having grown up listening to the original Broadway cast album, it was a sheer delight for a theatre nerd like me to see the original version of Hairspray here in Australia. Seeing this production's opening night performance which coincided exactly 20 years from Hairspray's Broadway premiere was also a big fat cherry on the top! While some elements of the original version do now feel slightly dated and some of this production's casting choices don't always allow Hairspray's vibrant characters to shine as brightly as one would like, you can't deny that this show is just so much fun. From the moment the show opens with 'Good Morning Baltimore' to the standing ovation worthy finale of 'You Can't Stop The Beat', Hairspray will put a smile on your face and have you dancing in your seat.

The Country Music Association and ABC have announced that two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan and NFL superstar Peyton Manning will host “The 56th Annual CMA Awards.” Bryan revealed the news this morning while guest hosting “Live with Kelly and Ryan. Nominations for the awards ceremony have not yet been revealed.

Producers of the original Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray are have announced that the beloved production, which is soon to premiere at Melbourne's Regent Theatre, will be touring to Adelaide and Sydney from late 2022.

Jill Chapman has been named vice president, Alternative Series and Content Planning; Alicia Martino joins as vice president, Alternative Series; and Mike Rosen will serve as vice president, Production. All three report to Tiffany Faigus, senior vice president, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, ABC Entertainment and WDT Alternative.

The final cast members have been unveiled for the highly-anticipated Australian premiere of the original Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray, which is set to open at the Regent Theatre in August.

The three-hour primetime concert special, bringing Country Music’s Ultimate Fan Experience to a national television audience, will be hosted by Dierks Bentley and Elle King. This marks both Bentley and King’s “CMA Fest” hosting debut. Bentley takes the Nissan Stadium stage to perform Sunday, June 12.

The stakes are high as four teams of colorful contestants face off to combat tremendous tipping towers. Each life-sized themed tower is chock full of various objects ranging from basketballs to small kitchen appliances as contestants try to successfully pull items from the stack without tipping it over in order to earn prizes.

After an impressive 30 seasons on ABC,  “Dancing with the Stars” is moving to a new home on Disney+. The hit series received a two-season pickup and will premiere exclusively in the U.S. and Canada for both seasons, making “Dancing with the Stars” the first live series to debut on the streaming service.

The dup will recreate legendary cinematic performances in a new one-hour special, “Step Into…The Movies.” Reimagined through a modern lens, the performances will draw inspiration from iconic films such as “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Chicago,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Saturday Night Fever” and “La La Land.”

Real-life people with real-life conflicts will present their case in his courtroom, ranging from family disputes, unpaid bets, sour friendships and everything in between. With the help of Nancy, his trusted bailiff by trade, Steve plays by his own rules, basing his courtroom on his own life experiences and some good old common sense.

Noon will oversee Hulu Originals, Onyx Collective, ABC Entertainment and Freeform, along with production companies ABC Signature and 20th Television. He will oversee 20th Animation, Walt Disney Television Unscripted and Alternative, Disney Television Studios Creative Talent Development & Inclusion, 20th Digital Studios, and Creative Acquisitions.
