​​​​​​​Walton Arts Center announced tonight a must-see lineup for the 2021-22 Procter & Gamble Broadway Series. Touring Broadway returns to Northwest Arkansas this fall, and a Broadway subscription gets you the best seats at the best price in the room where it happens.

Today, Broadway San Jose announced the updated season lineup that will make up the company’s upcoming season. The season opens with HAMILTON (October 12–31, 2021), followed by the all-new touring production of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical, HAIRSPRAY (November 23–28, 2021) (replacing the previously-announced Anastasia).

Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough have been announced to play the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood in the upcoming Matilda musical film adaptation. Additionally, Indian comedian Sindhu Vee has been cast as Mrs. Phelps, the librarian.

Elmhurst Ballet School, the school in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, has announced the following appointments to its Board: Mark Baldwin OBE, award-winning choreographer and director, and visual artist; and Brandon Lawrence, a Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal dancer.

They have also revealed that Hadestown will be added to the package to ensure their subscribers have six amazing shows this season.

Creative Theater Workshop Presents Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical Jr. this weekend. Show times are Friday, March 5th at 6pm; Saturday, March 6th at 2pm and 6pm and Sunday, March 7th at at 2pm and 6pm. Michelle Kuntze is directing the show about an extraordinary little girl with extraordinary powers.

Due to inclement weather, opening weekend of Wichita Theatre's production of Matilda the Musical is currently being modified. The company is hoping to have an updated performance schedule by Wednesday.

Next up in First Stage's Through Our Lens 2021 Virtual Season of Plays will be Arthur Miller's powerful and timely drama THE CRUCIBLE. Winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award and inspired by the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s, the play takes audiences back to a fictionalized account of the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials that took place during the years 1692 and 1693.

Broadway will return to the Marcus Center this fall when Hamilton kicks off the 2021- 2022 season in October 2021. 

When I initially began my Musical Theatre training in the Fall of 2019 at Long Island University Post, I never imagined that my education would be impacted by such a large global crisis.

After a much smaller, socially-distant season inside the company’s Showtime Stage on Red Bank Road, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is ready to roll out the red carpet and welcome patrons home to the Taft Theatre in Downtown Cincinnati starting this October 2021. 

More stars have joined the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of the acclaimed musical Matilda. Along with eleven year-old actor Alisha Weir as the title character and Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey, beloved star of stage and screen Emma Thompson is officially the villainous headmistress, Miss Trunchbull.

Up next in First Stage's Virtual Season of Plays is ESCAPE FROM PELIGRO ISLAND - A CREATE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE PLAY, written by award-winning, internationally renowned children's playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer (THE SNOW, 2015 and ANTARCTICA, WI, 2018) and directed by First Stage Artistic Director Jeff Frank.
