As the foremost presenter of first-class touring Broadway productions throughout North America, Broadway Across America (BAA), announced today that is has entered into new partnerships with both Broadway Grand Rapids and Michigan State University's Wharton Center for Performing Arts. BAA will work with each presenting organization to provide support with programming, operations, ticketing, and marketing for touring Broadway engagements.

Little Radical Theatrics {Fatima Viegas, Executive Producer} will present the Westchester Community Theater Premiere of Roald Dahl's Matilda! This will be the first full production of the recent hit Tony Award-Winning Broadway hit!

General Director Ken McConnell and Artistic Director Tobias Picker today announced Tulsa Opera's 73rd season comprising Verdi's Rigoletto; Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in a new production with dance; and Mr. Picker and librettist Aryeh Lev Stollman's new opera Awakenings, based on the book by Oliver Sacks and directed by Tulsa native James Robinson. 

Producer Daryl Roth announced today full casting for the new Off-Broadway musical Between the Lines . Actors Technique NY/ATNY (Todd Etelson and Carl Anthony Tramon, Producers), will present the Post-Broadway Manhattan Premiere of _Matilda: The Musical_, based on the novel by Roald Dahl with a book adapted by Dennis Kelly, and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. GWB Entertainment, along with GMG Productions & Virtus Live, is delighted to announce that the international tour of the multi-award-winning show Matilda The Musical is finally making its way to Manila for the very first time. Matilda opens at The Theatre at Solaire in March 2020. The stage adaptation of the much loved Roald Dahl classic was originally produced for the stage by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).

Matilda The Musical is based on the book written by Roald Dahl of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fame. It tells the story of Matilda Wormwood (Shelby Shannon-Caines, in a role that is alternated nightly with Sophia Pierce), a young girl with extraordinary intelligence and imagination. Her talents are dismissed by her parents, a used car salesman (Graeme Parke) and a beauty-obsessed mother (Hilary Peck). Matilda vows to a?oechange her storya?? by ensuring that she is not beaten down by their constant ridicule. She finds refuge in books and making visits to the local library where she captivates the librarian, Mrs. Phelps (Shondra Mings), with elaborate, imaginative stories. This is frowned upon by Matilda's parents, who decide to reign their daughter in by sending her to Crunchem Hall, a school with the motto Bambinatum est Magitum, translated to a?oeChildren are Maggotsa??. Crunchem's headmistress, Miss Trunchbull (Jason Swan), despises children, rules with an iron fist, and terrorizes disobedient students by putting them in a?oeThe Chokeya??, a torture chamber for kids. However, at Crunchem, Matilda also makes some friends, notably Lavender (Angela Cachero) and Bruce (Cooper Dunn). She is taught by Miss Honey (Melinda Hudson), a timid professor who, upon recognizing Matilda's potential, decides to take her under her wing. Eventually, Matilda and the other students decide to band together and revolt against Miss Trunchbull's bullying.

Penobscot Theatre Company, the northeastern-most professional, regional theatre in the country, is proud to announce its upcoming holiday production of Matilda the Musical. Based on the book by Roald Dahl, Matilda tells the story of an imaginative young girl who emerges victorious in the face of adversity. Playing from December 5-29 at the historic Bangor Opera House, Matilda is sure to delight and inspire audiences.
