This Week's New Classified Listings on BroadwayWorld for 7/28/2022 include new jobs for those looking to work in the theatre industry.

The Los Angeles Film Orchestra announces its debut performance, Basil Poledouris: The Music and The Movies at The Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall on July 22 at 8pm PT. The orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Steven Allen Fox, will also be joined by the SoCal Chorale led by Choir Maestra Marya Basaraba.

 In honor of Women’s History Month, BroadwayHD is celebrating some of Broadway’s iconic female characters with new titles coming to the platform including Yentl from Yentl, Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Tracy from Hairspray Live!.

There are few things as difficult as penning a follow-up to a beloved classic. That's the challenge that faced the writers of Disney's Mary Poppins Returns, the next-generation sequel to the iconic 1964 film. Fortunately for us all, veteran songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman were more than up to the task, creating a score that seamlessly blends in with our favorite songs of old while producing some new magical moments of its own.

The stars of Disney's 'Mary Poppins Returns' including Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Dick Van Dyke and director Ron Marshall attended the film's World Premiere at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood last night, November 29.
