Shawn Stockman, a member of the legendary group Boyz II Men, is currently recording his first solo album for SRG Records in Los Angeles, CA alongside producer, songwriter, and SRG/ILS Head of A&R Tim Kelley.

Minds Eye Entertainment, Falconer Pictures, VMI Worldwide, and QME Entertainment announced today that principal photography has begun on DAUGHTER OF THE WOLF in Kelowna, British Columbia. The action thriller stars Richard Dreyfuss, Gina Carano and Brendan Fehr.

Uptown Ventures Group, the parent company of UPTOWN Magazine, is proud to announce its celebration of “Women Directors in Television and Film” at its annual, black-tie, invitation-only “Uptown Honors Hollywood” pre-Oscar gala on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Los Angeles. The magazine will be doling out accolades to Dee Rees for her Oscar nomination on Netflix's critically-acclaimed film “Mudbound.” Making history, she is the first African American woman to be nominated for writing an adapted screenplay. Rounding out the quartet of honorees are award-winning directors Gina Prince Bythewood (Fox's “Shots Fired” and “Beyond the Lights”), Stella Meghie (“Everything, Everything”) and actress/director Chandra Wilson (ABC's “Grey's Anatomy).” “Uptown Honors Hollywood” will be hosted by writer/producer Chris Spencer of BET's “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

Actress and former Miss America, Lee Meriwether, was honored in Los Angeles on February 10th by Theatre West; the theatre company she helped found 55 years ago.  Aside from originating the role of  Catwomen on Batman in the 1960s, Meriwether starred in such series as Time Tunnel, Barnaby Jones,  All My Children, Star Trek and many more. 

The Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation (LAPMF) will hold a special benefit concert on Tuesday March 6 at Avalon Hollywood. The evening will begin with a performance by LA-based rock musicians Heaven & Earth. Steven Tyler and the Loving Mary Band will close the evening out.
