Amanda Martin Is Flying High In Paramount Pictures Rom-Com BOOK CLUB

Actress Amanda Martin is flying high alongside Hollywood A-listers Diane Keaton and Andy Garcia in Paramount Pictures upcoming romantic-comedy, BOOK CLUB, premiering in theaters nationwide on May 18th.

The film stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen as four lifelong friends whose lives are turned upside down when their monthly book club takes on the scandalous, "Fifty Shades of Grey." With romance in the air, Martin steps in as a helpful Flight Attendant in this amusing and inspirational tale of friendship.

Bill Holderman helms the project based on a script he co-wrote with Erin Simms. The cast also features Alicia Silverstone, Craig T. Nelson, Don Johnson, Richard Dreyfuss and Ed Begley, Jr among others.

Martin was thrilled at the opportunity, sharing "Working on that set was a complete joy. You could tell it was Bill and Erin's baby. They put so much love, effort, and joy into this project and that was palpable on set. I think their passion and excitement inspired everyone else there."

Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and raised in a charming little town in Georgia, Martin discovered her passion for performing during her high school years. This delightfully goofy but hardworking gal headed to GAINESVILLE College to study both drama and psychology. Then, after booking parts in regional plays and local commercials, she made the decision to head out west. Since landing in Los Angeles, Martin has continued to hone her skills with several respected coaches, including Michelle Danner, Mari Lyn Henry, Allen Barton and Art Cohan.

In addition, Martin has been building a solid reputation on the indie scene showcasing her talents on both sides of the camera. Currently, she is producing a short film about rediscovering your passions no matter what age you are; and is writing a feature film about women working (and sometimes fighting) their way to the top.
