Now the show has announced that performances have officially been suspended through Monday, 20 September due to illness within the cast.

Funny Girl, which enjoyed critically acclaimed and record-breaking sold-out runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Savoy Theatre, returns to Manchester Palace Theatre in August to complete its national tour. Playing opposite Sheridan Smith is Darius Campbell as Nick Arnstein.

Funny Girl, starring Sheridan Smith, officially launched the major UK and Ireland tour last night. Playing opposite Sheridan Smith is Chris Peluso as Nick Arnstein - they will perform in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Southampton, Bradford, Southend, Cardiff and Dublin. The run will extend for a further two weeks, returning to Manchester to complete its run with Smith and Peluso playing the final dates.
