The NYC-based Joffrey Concert Group will present, “In My Art” the culmination of the annual Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative, for three performances, February 16 & 17, at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.

New Camerata Opera presents its first animated opera film for children, One Train. Composed by Hilary Purrington with a libretto by Hannah McDermott, the film is brought to life by Chilean-based animation studio Catarata.

This November, New Camerata Opera will present Flesh & Stone, a triple-bill of staged song cycles.

New Camerata Opera presents The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace by Kamala Sankaram and Rob Handel as their spring 2022 mainstage production on April 7, 8, and 9 at 8pm, and April 10 at 3pm at Dixon Place Theater on the Lower East Side.

Norte Maar, a committed Brooklyn-based think-tank dedicated to the creation, promotion, and presentation of collaborations in the visual, literary, and the performing arts, together with Brooklyn Ballet, presents Counterpointe8, a curated performance series of new choreographic works by female artists and the pointe shoe. Six women choreographers have been paired with six female visual artists to collaborate and create both a new physical and visual work by each while investigating the process of creation, inspiration and development. The annual series will be presented February 28- March 1, at The Mark O'Donnell Theater at the Actors Fund Arts Center in downtown Brooklyn.

Asolo Repertory Theatre proudly kicks off its highly anticipated 2019-20 season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC. This Tony Award-winning musical sensation will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes (Broadway: Bright Star, It Shoulda Been You, First Date, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella). Rhodes returns to Asolo Rep where he previously directed and choreographed the theatre's record-breaking smash hit production of Evita in 2017 and Guys and Dolls in 2016.

Corkscrew Theater Festival, which runs July 10-August 3, inaugurates its Corkscrew Downstairs series of workshop productions this summer in the lower level theater at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street, Manhattan). The four projects all take classic texts as a starting point, including A Doll's House, Twelfth Night, the poetry of Walt Whitman, and Leslie Feinberg's 1993 novel Stone Butch Blues. The Downstairs series shares one team of designers -Dan Daly (sets), Christina Tang (lights), and Cinthia Chen (props)-and one flexible repertory set, deepening the festival's focus on exploring collaboration in different forms.

In a visual, physical and auditory "wake up call" to the impact of our actions on global warming, Eryc Taylor Dance (ETD) presents EARTH, a full-length collaborative dance event incorporating original choreography by ETD Artistic Director Eryc Taylor and five past recipients of the company's New Choreographer Grant, a platform offering young, aspiring NYC-based choreographers the funds needed to create and present a new dance work.
