In addition to this latest original offering, the trio of Adrian Blake Enscoe, Sydney Torin Shepherd, and Regina Strayhorn are also unveiling several impressive developments across a wide range of theatrical projects.

For its 14th summer, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is hosting 24 award-winning musical theatre writers of nine new musicals for nine consecutive weeklong residencies between June 23 and August 25. Each writing team will live in a private home in the Hudson Valley for one week to focus solely on writing their musical.

The Dramatists Guild previously announced that playwright Christopher Durang will receive a Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s ceremony. He will be joined by two additional recipients, George C. Wolfe and Emily Mann.

MCC will hold a developmental workshop for a musical adaptation of Peter Hedges' 1991 novel What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
