Atlantic Theater Company will present First Gen MixFest, a series of free readings co-produced by playwrights Ngozi Anyanwu and Sanaz Toossi, that will run at Atlantic’s Linda Gross Theater from Monday, August 8th through Wednesday, August 17th, 2022.

A League of Their Own evokes the spirit of Penny Marshall's classic, while taking a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it. The series stars Roberta Colindrez (Fun Home), Molly Ephraim (Into the Woods), and more.

Just last night, New York Theatre Workshop celebrated its NYTW 2022 Gala, honoring Artistic Director James C. Nicola, who will depart NYTW after 34 years on June 30, 2022. 

The newly announced slate of Visiting Artists for April brings the return of Cindy Williams to the Playhouse, the Bucks County premiere of Ray Didinger’s popular play, “Tommy and Me” with special guests at each show including Eagles great Harold Carmichael and the lively “Bennie and Jets: an Elton John Tribute.”

Cindy Williams will take the national stage starring in Me, Myself & Shirley, a one-woman show, for a limited US tour across nineteen cities beginning in January 2022.

Stages St. Louis christened their new home, The Ross Family Theater at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, with an engaging production of Always…Patsy Cline. The two women show features Broadway and American Idol star Diana DeGarmo as Patsy Cline and Zoe Vonder Haar as Louise Seger. Always…Patsy Cline is the real-life story of a Texas housewife and her unlikely friendship with the country music singer. Vonder Haar and DeGarmo have electric chemistry and play off each other perfectly as they tell a heartwarming tale of friendship.

Tony-award winner Beth Leavel (The Prom, The Drowsy Chaperone) has made a career out of going too far. Her two most famous roles were delightfully over-the-top women with a healthy dose of self-obsession. Her comedic style is always to ride right up to the line and pause for just long enough to make you think “Oh no, she won’t go there. New York Theatre Workshop has announced the complete 2021/22 Season as well as initial work for the 2022/23 Season. The 2021/22 season begins this summer with Semblance by Obie Award winner, NYTW Usual Suspect & former 2050 Fellow Whitney White.
