While the highly anticipated in-person return of SF Sketchfest brings over 200 shows to venues across the city, for the first time ever, SF Sketchfest will be making its special programming accessible to audiences around the world with livestream viewing available for select festival events.

Drag queens are rarely charged with the crime of being understated so it is hardly surprising that San Fran’s Peaches Christ and her co-host Edwin Outwater chose to partner up with the Royal Albert Hall for the UK debut of their perennial Christmas show.

With a CV that includes drag, opera, musical theatre and live art, Le Gateau Chocolat is a cabaret legend who escapes categorisation even if it is relatively easy to put your finger on just why he is so entertaining.

This fall, Into The Dark—the Bay Area production company spawned from the creative, twisted minds of Peaches Christ, David Flower Productions, and Non Plus Ultra—returns to The San Francisco Mint (88 5th St.) with The Summoning, a brand-new, fully immersive haunted theatrical experience. Performances will take place Wednesday–Sunday evenings beginning Friday, October 7 and continuing through Saturday, November 5.

On Friday, September 16, Another Planet Entertainment, stewards of the landmark and iconic LGBTQ space, the Castro Theatre, kick off a new partnership with local queer cultural group, Headprint House: Our Night, A Community Cabaret. 

100 years ago this month, San Francisco's historic Castro Theatre opened to great fanfare, and of course, an organ accompaniment for its silent film offerings. Over the next 10 decades, movies began to talk but the Castro organs continued to play. The famed “Mighty Wurlitzer” was removed by its private owner in 2015.

SF Sketchfest will present Festpocalypse, an all-star virtual variety show featuring over 100 of the biggest names in comedy, film, and television livestreaming on Saturday, January 30. Festpocalypse features all new performances and appearances from The Kids in the Hall, Bob Odenkirk & David Cross, SNL alums Cheri Oteri, Fred Armisen, and more.
