The Promise Band will help raise money to benefit Sandy Hook Promise (SHP), a national non-profit organization with a mission to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes and communities. The Promise Band is led by professional musician and Co-CEO of Sandy Hook Promise Mark Barden and band leader Jimmy Vivino. .

After a dazzling concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 2021, the choir returns for the 2022 Christmas season with an exciting festive show featuring the gospel classics you love, with musical accompaniment from Heritage Orchestra and the powerhouse London Community Gospel Choir band. This year’s concert will be extra special, as the choir are celebrating their 40th anniversary! 

Celebrating the legacy of vocal harmony in popular music, the Great American Songbook Foundation has selected three acclaimed vocal groups as its 2022 Songbook Hall of Fame inductees. The Lennon Sisters, The Manhattan Transfer and Straight No Chaser will be honored throughout the coming year.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, composer of some of the world’s most famous musicals, and Michael Harrison, critically-acclaimed, award-winning international producer, announced the creation of a new musical theatre partnership to find and develop new musicals, and create new productions from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s momentous musical catalogue. 

The a cappella group Straight No Chaser, from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., is touring in celebration of their 25th anniversary with a stop at Overture Center on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Overture Hall.

The three-hour concert event, from Disney Branded Television and produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and Rocket Entertainment, gave Disney+ audiences a front-row seat to his electrifying and legendary performance, which included performances by Dua Lipa, Kiki Dee and Brandi Carlile. Jessica Molaskey, a Broadway baby if ever there was one, has appeared in a dozen or more hit shows including Sunday in the Park With George, Cats, Crazy For You, Chess, Oklahoma!, City of Angels, Parade, A Man of No Importance, and Songs For a New World to name only a few.

Maren Morris unveils Humble Quest: In Rare Form, featuring seven stripped-back versions of tracks from Humble Quest. Maren and her band self-produced the project, which was recorded at her bandmate Bennett Lewis’ summer camp Camp Wayfarer in Flat Rock, North Carolina during a break from tour.

The track was released alongside a new music video. Directed by Andy Alston (Del Amitri) and co-edited with Addie Brik, the live footage was captured outside Addie’s home in  Scotland, with additional film clips provided by Glenn Lewis (Mick Harvey, Cambodian Space Project).
