CTG Creative Collective members Steve Cuiffo, Trey Lyford and Geoff Sobelle bring “Elephant Room: Dust from the Stars” to Center Theatre Group’s Digital Stage December 16 through December 20 for seven performances only. Directed by Paul Lazar, “Elephant Room: Dust from the Stars” will be free to Center Theatre Group subscribers.

MAX, a nonprofit organization working with artists and scientists to create live arts exploiting the scientific and technological innovations of our time, presents the English-language premiere of Onur Karaoglu and Kathryn Hamilton's Read Subtitles Aloud, an episodic hybrid video/performance work whose only live component is the viewer. Reading subtitles on the screen, the viewer enters as character X into a crumbling theater collective, becoming the main character in a story—of camaraderie, sex, betrayal, and the digital theater of life in a pandemic—that's unfolding across 13 episodes.

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center has announced the third weekly line-up of its new global series, SEGAL TALKS. New York, US, and international theatre artists, curators, researchers and academics will talk daily for one hour with Segal Center's director, Frank Hentschker, about life and art in the Time of Corona.

Mabou Mines, the esteemed experimental theater company, and Weathervane Productions, in association with Philip Glass' Days and Nights Festival, add free documentary film screening and Promenade concert performance, and announce complete casting for a unique upcoming celebration of legendary playwright and director María Irene Fornés. The February 21-March 7 engagement centers on the New York premiere of Philip Glass' transformation of her five-page play Drowning into an opera and a version of Fornés' acclaimed Mud. JoAnne Akalaitis directs these two intimate productions-both with new music composed by Glass-at Mabou Mines (150 First Avenue).

On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the New York-based ensemble Sandbox Percussion releases Andy Akiho's Haiku 2 as a music video and single from its debut album, And That One Too (Coviello Classics).

The Flea Theater hosted a Mac Wellman Symposium: THE ART OF STACKING THE DECK October 4-6, 2019. The three-day symposium was a rare opportunity for Wellman enthusiasts to gather to share stories and dig deep into the mysteries of Wellman's writing.
