Kris Kringle The Musical, the perennial holiday musical which will stream in a virtual production on Christmas Day, offers an early holiday gift.

In this unique holiday season, Kris Kringle The Musical offers up a free holiday gift for theater lovers everywhere. On Christmas Day, a virtual, streaming production of the perennial holiday musical, featuring a cast of Broadway veterans, will be available to online audiences at KrisKringleTheMusical.com.

On Friday, November 27 at 3 PM Central, Jacob Cohen and Holly Weis of Highland Park Players will be the guests on It's Showtime with Rikki Lee – a weekly half hour informational radio show focused on the entertainment industry that airs on suburban Chicago station 101.5 FM. Four actors, each participating from a different remote location, will perform a live online reading of MOTHERS AND SONS on Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 pm.  Pride Films and Plays Executive Director David G. Zak will direct the reading of the play by Terrence McNally, who passed away at age 81 on March 24 of complications from COVID-19. This is an encore of the reading of the play the company presented in fall 2018 during the run of their production of McNally's IT'S ONLY A PLAY and is the first of several remote presentations the company is planning in order to maintain programming until performances can again be presented in-person in the theater.

Nick Bowling directs Lionel Bart's OLIVER!, the 1960 musical based on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. With music direction by Ryan T. Nelson and choreography by Brenda Didier, a talented cast of child and adult actors delivers Bart's eminently hummable, if not groundbreaking, tunes. Though certain aspects of the material are irremediably dated, this is an entertaining revival of a (mostly) family-friendly show.
