Two of the award winners, Parker Jennings and Laughton Berry, will compete with young performers from across the country for the coveted Jimmy® Award as well as scholarships and professional opportunities. The National High School Musical Theatre Awards - Jimmy® Awards - will take place at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway at 7:30 pm on June 25, 2018, and will be hosted by Tony Award Winner® Laura Benanti. For the first time ever, the Jimmy® Awards will be streamed live on Facebook at facebook.com/JimmyAwards. This week ArtsBridge announced the nominees for the 10th Anniversary Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards. 38 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards show is the culmination of a year-long professional development program and will showcase the next generation of Georgia's musical theatre talent. Presented by the Georgia Lottery, the awards show will air on Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) over its nine-station statewide television network live from Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 19, 2018 from 7-9 pm.
THE JIMMY AWARDS have announced that 74 high school students from across America will compete for the award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the ninth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 26th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan.
