Felicia Curry and Helen Hedman Named To Resident Company Of Artists Roster At Everyman

Everyman Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Vincent M. Lancisi is thrilled to announce that actors Felicia Curry and Helen Hedman have joined the organization as members of the Everyman Theatre Resident Company of Artists. Everyman Theatre is one of only a handful of Regional Theatres that has a resident company of professional artists as part of its mission.

Baltimore Center Stage Announces THE 19TH: WHOSE VOTE IS IT ANYWAY?

Baltimore Center Stage announced today The 19th: Whose Vote Is It Anyway?, a virtual event taking place at 7pm on Monday, August 17th, the eve of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Widely acknowledged as the amendment granting women the right to vote, this event will call attention to the fact that only white women were truly granted suffrage on August 18th, 1920. Featuring musical performances, poetry, theater, and more, this event will both celebrate and interrogate the 19th amendment and what it means for human rights and women, nationwide.

BWW News: Studio Theatre Launches Virtual PSALM'S SALONS AT STUDIO With DC-Based Director, Theatre-Maker, Artist-in-Residence Psalmayne 24

Studio Theatre, in collaboration with Studio Artist-in-Residence Psalmayene 24, is launching a three-part series of digital dance parties with conversation—Psalm's Salons at Studio—beginning June 25 at 5 p.m. The virtual salons are an online gathering space to highlight the work of Black creatives, signal boost local and Black-owned businesses, kick back to live music, and promote a sense of community. Salons will be hosted by Psalmayene 24 with original music from DJ Nick tha 1da, sampling from the Library of Congress's Citizen DJ tool, and a rotating panel of guests. Events in the series are free to view and will be streamed live on Studio Theatre's Facebook and YouTube pages.

The production will transfer from Keegan to 1st Stage and begin performances on December 5 at 1st Stage's theatre space.

Lincoln Center Releases December Calendar of Events

This December, Lincoln Center presents a plethora of music, dance, theater, and panel events across the campus and beyond. After celebrating their 10th anniversary last month, the David Rubenstein Atrium continues to offer free programming consisting of diverse live performances, screenings, and panel conversations. The 2019-20 season of LC Kids (October 5-June 7, 2020) is in full swing with free and ticketed events developed for toddlers, children, and teenagers stepping into young adulthood. The ongoing Great Performers series (October 29-May 16, 2020) continues with a Lincoln Center debut for a Sunday Morning Coffee Concert.

THE ROYALE Begins After 1-Week Delay At Olney Theatre Center

Olney Theatre Center and 1st Stage's co-production of The Royale by Marco Ramirez and directed by Paige Hernandez begins its delayed run on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:45pm. The original first week of performances were cancelled when the actor had to withdraw for medical reasons just prior to the first scheduled performance.
