Palaye Royale Announce Fall Headline Tour Dates

This Fall, Palaye Royale will bring their adrenaline- fueled, rock n’ roll circus on an expansive North American headline tour with direct support from Mod Sun. The 25-date run kicks off September 13th in Phoenix, AZ, and sees the band headlining their biggest U.S. venues yet, including Webster Hall in New York and The Palladium in Los Angeles.

World Premiere of AYANO to Open at The Other Space

Interview: A Hearty Welcome To Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx As The LGBT Center's New Artistic Director

Ovation Award-nominated director Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx will succeed Director of Cultural Arts Jon Imparato (set to retire June 30) as the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center’s new Artistic Director.  Besides overseeing the Center’s two live performance venues — the 200-seat Renberg Theatre and the 50-seat black box Davidson/Valentini Theatre, Jonathan’s other priorities are to engage communities through arts programming, bring emerging L.A. artists to the Center’s various locations, and to offer workshops and classes for free or at low cost. Jonathan opened up some from his final days at A Noise Within to address a few of my queries.

Education Through Music 30th Anniversary Gala Raises $1 Million To Keep Music Alive In Public Schools

Founded in 1991, Education Through Music (ETM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes the use of music in under-resourced schools and schools in disadvantaged areas, as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. ETM celebrated its 30th Annual Benefit Gala on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The gala included over 400 people and raised over $1M. 

BWW Review: KINKY BOOTS Kicks Off Summer at Broadway At Music Circus

After being dark for two years, Broadway at Music Circus opened its 2022 season with Kinky Boots, the glittery hit from Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein and 80s icon Cyndi Lauper.  After opening on Broadway in 2013, it surprised everyone by surpassing its competition and securing a season-high 13 Tony Award nominations and 6 wins.  In addition to Best Musical, Kinky Boots won the Tony for Best Original Score, making Lauper the first woman to win alone in that category-in her first foray into Broadway composing. 

Marc Rebillet Announces Upcoming North American Tour

The tour kicks off with a string of performances at major festivals including Bonnaroo, Badlands Music Festival, Life is Beautiful, and more. His solo headlining dates will begin Saturday, Oct 8th in Asheville, NC and will hit key markets like New York, Chicago, Boston, and more before wrapping at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on November 5th.

Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam Draws Record Crowds Over Four Days

Over 10,600 fans visited Frank Brown Park in beautiful Panama City Beach Thursday night to see Brett Young, Jameson Rodgers, Niko Moon and Casi Joy. Friday night drew over 21,000 for Old Dominion, Gary Allan, Jordan Davis, Randy Rodgers Band, Tyler Rich, Ryan Griffin, Tigirlily, and Presley & Taylor.

Switchfoot Announce 'Interrobang (Deluxe Edition)'

The deluxe will include the album’s 11 tracks along with three b-sides, “youth of the young,” “interrobang,” and “the sound of holding breath.” The deluxe also features two recently released album track remixes, “i need you (to be wrong),” remixed by the indie-pop group lovelytheband and “wolves,” remixed by indie-rock band, Sir Sly.

What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia? A fresh and innovative take on the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine classical musical. The acting and vocal delivery from the ensemble cast let the James Lapine book shine through while giving the audience a lavish score that Sondheim would have been elated by.

​​​​​​Berkshire Theatre Group has announced casting for shows in BTG’s Late Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and an award recipient of the GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS from the National Endowment for the Arts; Once, a Tony Award-winning musical; Songs For a New World, the first musical by a Tony Award winner; Dracula, a classic gothic tale of horrors; and Edward Albee's Seascape, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play.
