Composers Concordance to Present GENERATIONS XII in March

On March 8th at 7:30pm, Composers Concordance will present Generations XII, the 12th annual concert featuring the winners of the Generations Composition Competition. This year's winners are Paul Novak of Chicago (Cat A: 25 years old or younger) for his composition Three Night Pieces, and Lee McClure of New York City (Cat B: 65 years old or older) for his composition Pocket Suite No.1.
Composers Concordance to Present LUDWIG'S NIGHT OUT in March

On March 16th at 8:30pm, Composers Concordance will present the program 'Ludwig's Night Out'. World-renowned violinist Anne Akiko Meyers will join the eclectic band Sound Liberation in a program inspired by Gene Pritsker's composition 'Ludwig's Night Out'. The idea of this composition is that Beethoven has a night out on the town while his Sonata No. 4 (for violin & piano) is echoing in his mind.
Dance Now Presents Contemporary NUTRACKER & Italy's Opus Ballet December 10

What includes a taste of Italy's vibrant dance scene and a new, contemporary spin on the classic ballet The Nutcracker? That would be Dance NOW! Miami's Program I, on Saturday, December 10, when this leading Florida ensemble world premieres their new piece Clara and share the stage with Compagnia Opus Ballet, direct from Florence for their U.S. debut. Taking place at the Miami Theater Center in Miami Shores, the evening will be an unusual – and racy – season performance.

Hosts Gene Pritsker and Seth Boustead discuss a featured alcohol, listen to music centered around a theme, and talk about the sounds they hear as the alcohol loosens their inhibitions.
Composers Concordance's Ensemble to Present 'Operas, Songs & Poems'

On June 25th at 8pm ET, contemporary vocal music and poetry recitations intertwine on Composers Concordance’s concert event entitled ‘Operas, Songs, & Poems.’ This 3rd annual collaboration between NYC and Beacon artists will be held at the Howland Cultural Center, which was the first building in the City of Beacon to receive the distinction of being placed on the National Register of Historic Places. David Amram’s 'Pull my Daisy Reimagined,’ Faye-Ellen Silverman’s 'Channeling Twain: Advice for Our Time,’ Debra Kaye’s ‘Snow’, and Gene Pritsker’s ‘The Meeting’, a mini-opera on a story by Roger Aplon, will be featured.

Bloomingdale School of Music will present The Piano Music of Ed Bland, a free online faculty concert, on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 7pm. In honor of Black History Month, faculty member Judith Olson will perform works by African American composer Ed Bland (1926-2013), with whom she worked for many years.
