Revoltosa—The Troublemaker , now playing at GALA Hispanic Theatre ---is a compelling and lyrical “slice of life” with multiple layers of interest for just about any thinking and feeling human being who is willing to entertain the idea that life is full of mystery, contradictions and certain universal elemental truths about human nature.  This highly amusing (and often moving) yet insightful production (sub-titled as “Variations on the 1897 zarzuela for today”) is given a zesty and comically on-target interpretation by a committed ensemble under the Direction of José Luis Arellano.

Full casting has been announced for the North American tour of Disney's Aladdin. The production will feature Adi Roy (Aladdin), Marcus M. Learn more about the music of A CROSSING: A DANCE MUSICAL, with Zoe Sarnak (Original Music) and George Sáenz (Traditional Mexican Folk Song Arrangements/Additional Score). Performances began September 23, and the production runs through October 17, 2021.

With a story by BSC Associate Artist Mark St. Germain (BSC: Eleanor; BSC and Off-Broadway: Freud's Last Session), A Crossing is a timely new dance musical featuring original songs and vocal arrangements by award-winning songwriter Zoe Sarnak (Secret Soldiers, Empire Records), alongside traditional Mexican folk song arrangements and additional score by George Sáenz.

As we filed out of the theatre following the performance of the World Premiere Musical, A CROSSING, I leaned in toward BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and said, “I am torn between two words - magnificent and gorgeous”. She replied, “I will take them both”, and I assure you deservedly so.
