A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live TheatreLive Performance, Recording and Radio have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the full list was announced today, June 20, 2019 at 12:30 P.M. by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee. The newest honorees were chosen from hundreds of nominations at a selection committee meeting held in June and will be ratified by the Hollywood Chamber's Board of Directors. Walk of Fameractresssinger Vanessa Williams, a committee member for the 2019-2020 Selection Committee, announced the new honorees with Rana Ghadban, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The full list of 2020 Walk of Fame honorees was announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee today, according to Variety. Chosen from hundreds of nominees during a selection meeting in June, the newest inductees are all top performers in television, live theater, radio and film. Among the honorees is Billy Porter, Tony-winning Broadway actor, who is now known for starring in the hit FX series, Pose.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of What You Are, a Globe-commissioned new play by JC Lee and the second show in the 2018-2019 Season developed in the Powers New Voices Festival. SAG-AFTRA members Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and Regina King are throwing their support behind the union's #StrikeBBH campaign to ensure fair wages and safe sets for actors who work on commercials. They join Rami Malek, Rachel Brosnahan, Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Sterling K. Brown and Alec Baldwin in supporting the strike, issuing a joint statement that reads, "We stand united with our fellow performers who work in commercials, who seek fair wages, safe sets, access to health care and a meaningful pension. It's time for advertisers and agencies like Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc. (BBH) to do the right thing. When you make an ad, make it union." The ad agency is attempting to illegally abandon its union contract with SAG-AFTRA after almost 20 years.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” (edited by John Ottman, ACE) and “The Favourite” (edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis, ACE) won Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) and Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy) respectively at the 69th Annual ACE Eddie Awards tonight where trophies were handed out recognizing the best editing of 2018 in 11 categories of film, television and documentaries.  The black-tie ceremony was held in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel with over 1000 in attendance to celebrate.  President of American Cinema Editors, Stephen Rivkin, ACE, presided over the evening's festivities with comedian Tom Kenny serving as the evening's host.

The winners of the Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards for 2018 were announced tonight during the 71st Annual DGA Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center's Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood. Alfonso Cuarón won the DGA's Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for Roma.
