City of Light, a new musical by Gabrielle Wagner, Julie Weiner and Jan Roper with direction by Tony Award-winner Cady Huffman, will play three performances at the SheNYC Summer Theater Festival. 

City of Light has a charming musical theater score with music by Jan Roper, lyrics by Julie Weiner, and book by Gabrielle Wagner. The show will star Kimberly Immanuel (Pacific Overtures, The Fantasticks) as Molly. It will also feature Tony nominee Valarie Pettiford (Fosse, Big Deal), Anthony Norman (Newsies Nat'l Tour), Darren Bunch, Keri Safran, and Jack Cotterell.

Tonight, Broadway's most emotional belters will gather on the Feinstein's/54 Below stage to sing some of Ed Sheeran's biggest hits. Audiences can expect to hear beloved classics mixed in with new and niche numbers, ranging from "A-Team" to "I'm A Mess," "Happier," "Photograph," and many more. Join some of your favorite Broadway stars for a night of drinking, crying, pouring our hearts out, and trying to find a bit of optimism in the mess of it all!

Jenna Ushkowitz (Waitress, Glee), Nicholas Barasch (She Loves Me), Jon Hacker (Jersey Boys), Iain Young (Newsies), Kaitlyn Frank (Newsies), and Anthony Norman (Newsies) have joined the cast of 54 Sings Ed Sheeran at Feinstein's/54 Below on Wednesday, April 26th.

Audiences have a final chance to 'Seize the Day!' - tickets are now available for 'Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!,' playing in U.S. movie theaters for three days only on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday February 18 at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). On November 6th, dozens of cast members from the national tour of Newsies will reunite on the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below with The Newsboys' Variety Show. Audiences can expect to be dazzled by a variety of musical styles, dancing, and other special talents on display.

Brooklyn's acclaimed Brave New World Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of The Plantation, a bold new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard set in 1870 Virginia after emancipation and the civil war, but before the onset of Jim Crow.

Now IS the time to seize the day! BroadwayWorld has learned that Disney will film NEWSIES this August, at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Returning for the filming will be original Broadway cast members Jeremy Jordan and Kara Lindsay. The production, currently on tour plays the Pantages from Aug. 30, 2016 - Sept. 4, 2016. There is no word yet if the production is headed towards the big or small screen, or who else might be joining or re-joining the cast for the filming.

Casting has been announced for the Charlotte engagement of Disney's  NEWSIES.   The Tony® Award-winning production will begin performances at Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, August 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 14.
