Black Button Eyes Productions is pleased to announce its 2019-20 Season, featuring two Chicago premiere musicals! The season kicks off this summer with GHOST QUARTET by Broadway composer Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812). This intriguing and entertaining song cycle is directed by Artistic Director Ed Rutherford, with music direction by Nick Sula and choreography by Derek Van Barham.

Karen Mason, E. Faye Butler, and More to Perform at Sarah Siddons Gala Honoring Betty Buckley

Betty Buckley, star of stage, screen and television will accept the "Actor of the Year" Award at this year's Sarah Siddons gala fundraiser. Ms.Buckley, who has been called 'The Voice of Broadway,' is one of theater's most respected and legendary leading ladies. 2018 also finds her leading the first national tour ofHello, Dolly!, as Dolly Levi, which will play Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) for a limited four-week engagement October 23 through November 17, 2018. She is also currently co-starring in AMC's hit series "Preacher". Among her many illustrious credits, Betty Buckley is a Tony Award winner, Olivier Award nominee and American Theater Hall of Fame inductee.

LUCKY STAR Returns in Celebration of Madonna's 60th Birthday

Three night return engagement and tenth anniversary of this hit show! After smash runs around the country of Melissa Young's infamous "Madonna show", she returns to where it all started, ten years ago at Davenports. Young is bringing this show, Lucky Star, out of retirement for Madonna's milestone Sixtieth birthday! Young performs the music of America's most original artist, Madonna. Over 20 of Madonna's songs, spanning her thirty five year career, get a musical makeover.

OUT AND PROUD Begins At Pride Arts Center 6/3

The Pride Arts Center's summer season will kick off on Sunday, June 3 at 7:30 pm in the PAC's Broadway venue with Melissa Young's OUT AND PROUD: A RAINBOW CELEBRATION.  Young will perform and emcee a musical and comedic tour of LGBTQ history that will also feature in its cast Nick Sula, Daryl Nitz, Jeannie Tanner and Dan Riley, performing some of the most iconic songs of the LGBTQ movement.

Pride Arts Center Announces Special Summer Events to Include Cabarets, Film Screenings, Comedy and WeFest

In addition to its just-announced "PAC Pride Fest" of five fully-staged plays, the Pride Arts Center will host another five special events and performances. The lineup will include the cabaret events OUT AND PROUD by Melissa Young, and Alan Palmer's FABULOUS DIVAS OF HOLLYWOOD; Pride Films and Plays' semi-annual WEFEST celebration of Chicago's queer female, non-binary and trans artists., the final PRIDE FILM FESTIVAL of the '17-18 season and an improv comedy show by CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY.

BROADWAY AT THE BROADWAY Set for Pride Month at PFP

The fourth installment of Pride Films and Plays' His & His.'  cabaret series - entitled 'Broadway at the Broadway' will be performed on Thursday, June 8 in The Broadway at the Pride Arts Center, 4139 N. Broadway. The His and His series follows the development of LGBT characters on Broadway, and celebrates the artists who wrote the great works of musical theater.
