The Off Broadway Alliance has announced the nominees for the 12th Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2022-2023 season.

Theater Breaking Through Barriers will presentthe first  Hybrid  Playmakers’ Intensive:  Dramatis UbQTous,  featuring seven new, short plays created specifically for digital platforms. This year’s presentations will take place online as well as live and in person.

Theater Breaking Through Barriers the only professional Off-Broadway theater company dedicated to advancing artists and developing audiences of people with disabilities, recently took a contingent of 14 artists to Japan’s Tottori Prefecture to participate in the 15th BIRD International Theatre Festival. Theater Breaking Through Barriers has announced its third  Playmakers ' REDUX  entitled  Out of the Box  which will be presented live and in person at  Theatre Row’s Studio Theatre  from  May 19 – 22, 2022. 

Theater Breaking Through Barriers has announced their 6th Virtual Playmakers’ Intensive — VPI6: STAR CHANGERS, fifteen new, original short plays created specifically for digital platforms. Each play will be presented live, twice each evening.  A talk-back with the artists will follow each performance.

BRECHT ON BRECHT is playing now through November 20th, 2021.

Directed by  Nicholas Viselli , with musical direction by  Dionne McClaine-Freeney, BRECHT ON BRECHT  will begin performance on October 19 and will celebrate its opening night on Thursday, October 28, 2021, running through November 20, 2021, at  A.R.T./ NY Theatre  ( 502 West 53rd Street, NYC).
