Fathom Events partners with Fox Searchlight Pictures for the theatrical debut of “Tolkien,” giving audiences the chance to see this much-anticipated film on May 7 ahead of its theatrical nationwide release on May 10.  The Fathom cinema event will also feature an exclusive live Q&A with stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins and director Dome Karukoski, moderated by Tolkien super-fan Stephen Colbert host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. “Tolkien” tells the story of how J. R. R. Tolkien transformed from a lonely orphan into one of the great storytellers of all time — a story that is itself an enchanting tale lit with the power of imagination, the bonds of fellowship and the forging of purpose in the fires of love and war.

A dynamic female-led production led by a gifted self-taught first time filmmaker. Lupo tackles the complex filmmaking disciplines of directing, writing and editing while emerging as the voice of a generation. "In Reality" speaks to our search for love in a world overcome with friend-zone frenzy and erratic hook-ups masquerading love. The filmmakers have chosen to partner with Giant Pictures to release the film theatrically in Los Angeles, CA on March 29th, 2019, before expanding into other markets as it will also make its VOD/Digital debut on April 2nd, 2019 alongside its theatrical run.

TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.

"The Favourite" was the favorite film of more than 2,500 users who voted for the 17th Annual Gold Derby Film Awards nominations. It scored 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz) and Best Ensemble. The forthcoming adaptation of Watership Down will feature an original song by Sam Smith, it was announced today. The Grammy, Brit and Academy award-winning artist was inspired by Richard Adams' classic novel to write and record Fire On Fire, an original song that will serve as the theme to the forthcoming animated mini-series. Fire On Fire was co-written with Steve Mac and was recorded by Sam Smith with the BBC Concert Orchestra at London's Abbey Road Studios in September 2018.

dick clark productions announced today that critically-acclaimed actors Timothée Chalamet and Rachel Weisz will receive the “Hollywood Supporting Actor Award” and “Hollywood Supporting Actress Award” respectively, at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.”  Chalamet will be honored for his exquisite work in Amazon Studio's Beautiful Boy, while Weisz will be recognized for her role in Fox Searchlight's The Favourite, a festival breakout.  They join previously announced honoree Nicole Kidman, who will receive this year's “Hollywood Career Achievement Award.”  The 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards” will take place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton.
