Vineyard Theatre's 40th Anniversary Gala will honor Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup with celebratory toasts to Ken Greiner, Chair, Vineyard Board of Directors and Marcia Pendelton, President and Founder of Walk Tall Girl Productions, on February 13, 2023 beginning at 6:00pm at Edison Ballroom.

Angelina Jolie will play famed opera singer Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín's new biopic. The screenplay was written by Steven Knight. Larraín most recently directed Spencer, which starred Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana. In 2016, Natalie Portman starred in his film Jackie, following the life of Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Queer|Art, New York City’s home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, has announced the upcoming Fall season of Queer|Art|Film, presented in person from September 19th – December 5th. Queer|Art|Film returns once again to the IFC Center with a season curated by multidisciplinary artists Heather Lynn Johnson and Sarah Zapata.

CJ 4DPLEX announced today that Marvel Studios 'Thor: Love and Thunder' will debut in visually immersive 270-degree panoramic ScreenX theaters worldwide starting July 6, followed by the United States on July 8.

Playing the leads, Jaime Vadell (Tres tristes tigres, No) and Gloria Münchmeyer (La luna en el espejo, 42 días en la oscuridad) will play the central couple in this historical dark comedy, in addition to actors Alfredo Castro (Tony Manero, Tengo Miedo Torero) and Paula Luchsinger (Ema, La Jauría).

Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Michael Mann will reunite at this year’s Tribeca Festival for the new 4K Ultra HD version of Mann’s 1995 classic, Heat. The film’s stars, along with writer-director Michael Mann and producer Art Linson, will attend the screening on June 17 which will be followed by a conversation moderated by Bilge Ebiri.

TheaterWorks Hartford is thrilled to present the 2022 edition of its New Work Festival. This free festival, running May 16–22, explores and celebrates new voices in American Theater. With workshops, a panel discussion, and talk-backs—both in-person and online—the New Work Festival strengthens TheaterWorks Hartford’s commitment to the development of important new plays. Participants include playwrights Brooke Berman, Melissa Crespo & Sarah Saltwick, Terry Guest, and James Anthony Tyler who are joined by directors Shariffa Ali, Michael Barakiva, Mikael Burke, and Caitlin Sullivan. LOVE ALL, a new play by Anna Deavere Smith and directed by Marc Bruni will explore the life and career of the legendary Billie Jean King. 

Based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, the series is the first to be released under “Roar” creators and co-showrunners Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive’s (“GLOW”) overall deal with Apple TV+. The series includes Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Kidman, Issa Rae, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart, and Kara Hayward.

Critically-acclaimed actor Jeremy Irons will discuss his new film, Munich: The Edge of War, as well as his career, in a Monday, January 17 interview with 92Y Reel Pieces moderator Annette Insdorf. The interview, which is free with registration, will be broadcast live on 92Y's website at 5 pm ET.

92Y’s signature film series, Reel Pieces with Annette Insdorf, returns to live programming on Thursday, January 13 at 7 pm with actor Andrew Garfield. Following a screening of tick, tick...Boom! – in which Garfield stars – he will discuss the film as well as his career.

Sarah Lane, former principal dancer of American Ballet Theatre, and Simon Wexler, former principal dancer of Texas Ballet Theater, will appear as guest artists in the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker on December 11 and 12, 2021 at the Riverview Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.
