Northern Stage's THE LODGER Cast Announced; Performances Begin Next Week

Northern Stage has announced the cast for this spring's Mud Season Mystery: The Lodger, a witty new adaptation of the classic mystery, created for Zoom and performed live each night. Closing out Northern Stage's 2020-21 season, The Lodger will be performed live on Zoom starting April 14 through May 2, 2021.

South Bay Musical Theatre (SBMT) has announced several new virtual events that will be streamed over Zoom and social media in January and February 2021. The company was among the first community theatres in the Bay Area to reinvent itself for the COVID-19 era by switching from traditionally staged musicals to a prolific schedule of online programming.

This December Main Street Theater is bringing back the holiday favorites Miss Bennet and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley via live, staged readings on Zoom. Main Street has been offering the Pemberley plays - based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and written by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon - for the last few seasons.

Good news for musical theater lovers! TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's recent, acclaimed production of Paul Gordon's Pride and Prejudice will now be available to stream. Presented by Streaming Musicals, Pride and Prejudice will receive a a?oevirtual opening nighta?? on Friday, April 10 at 3:30pm PT/ 6:30pm ET, with an encore presentation at 7:00pm PT/10:00pm ET. Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom) and Julie James, Program Director/ Curator of SiriusXM's a?oeOn Broadwaya?? channel, will host the a?oevirtual opening night,a?? which will include an intermission discussion with the creative team members including TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, who directed the new romantic musical comedy.
