FOOTLIGHT FOLLIES Set for Maine State Music Theatre Today

Maine State Music Theatre presents the Footlight Follies, a show so big it starts outside the theater! This one-night-only cabaret of songs, skits and silliness is set for tonight, August 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Meet Matt Baxter Luceno, ELTC's Ichabod Crane in THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW

Playing the role of Ichabod Crane in the award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's production of the world premiere of 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,' is Matt Baxter Luceno. His first appearance with ELTC was playing Rodney Martin in the comedy 'It Pays to Advertise' last fall, and now he's back as the music and school teacher from Connecticut who lands a job in superstitious Tarrytown, New York.

Atlantic Screen Productions Brings A VICTORIAN EYE to Jermyn Street Theatre, Now thru Aug 17

Atlantic Screen Productions presents the world premiere of A VICTORIAN EYE by Rory Fellowes. Directed by Maureen Payne-Hahner, the show features designer Tim Dann, lighting designer David W. Kidd, costume designer Lyn Avery. Starring Nigel Dunbar as Sir William Blake Richmond R.A. Produced by Tim Hollier, the show runs today, 30 July to 17 August Jermyn Street Theatre. Press Night 31 July 7.30pm.

Washington D.C. Festival Celebrating Dutch Composer Louis Andriessen Set for April 6-13, 2014

Today, five Washington, D.C. area organizations, including The Atlas Performing Arts Center, Great Noise Ensemble, National Gallery of Art, Strathmore, and Shenandoah Conservatory, announce Andriessen 75, a week-long festival from April 6-13, 2014, celebrating the music of the beloved Dutch composer Louis Andriessen on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Val Kilmer to Star in CITIZEN TWAIN at Pasadena Playhouse, 8/21-24

The Pasadena Playhouse announced today that it will present Val Kilmer in CITIZEN TWAIN for a five-show limited engagement. Val Kilmer, famous for his portrayals of iconic characters such as Jim Morrison (The Doors), Doc Holliday (Tombstone) and Batman (Batman Forever), inhabits the spirit of yet another legendary figure: Mark Twain. Kilmer continues to develop CITIZEN TWAIN, a solo show about the man considered to be the world's greatest storyteller, with this five performance extension at The Playhouse, August 21 - 24, 2013. The production continues through Sunday, July 28 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

DALLAS COWBOY CHEERLEADERS: MAKING THE TEAM to Return to CMT on 9/6

Summer heats up as America's hottest cheerleaders return for the eighth season of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team beginning Friday, September 6 at 9:00 - 10:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT. The network's longest running non-music series will feature eight one-hour episodes. Each season, the Lone Star State's most iconic group of women take on more challenging dance routines and face incredibly talented candidates while navigating all the drama that comes with competition; with more action-packed episodes, heart-tugging storylines, challenges and surprises, this season will be no different.

THE ISLAND OF DOCTOR MOREAU to Play 59E59 Theatre's East to Edinburgh, 7/10-14

To celebrate and give local audiences a peek at the enormous creative beehive that is Edinburgh Fringe, Piper is pleased to take part in 59E59's Edinburgh Festival Fringe Preview: East to Edinburgh, with three performances of The Island of Dr. Moreau in Manhattan at 59E59's Theatre C on July 10, 13 and 14. These will be the only New York previews of Moreau before its August 11-25th residency in Edinburgh.

REDNECK ISLAND to Return to CMT on 6/5

Wrestling hall of famer Steve Austin is back for a rowdier-than-ever third season of REDNECK ISLAND, premiering Wednesday, June 5 at 10:30-11:30 p.m., ET/PT, immediately following the 2013 CMT MUSIC AWARDS. Set in a remote tropical paradise, REDNECK ISLAND will pit 15 contestants-completely out of their element-against one another in CMT's ultimate redneck-style competition series for a shot at $100,000. This season, romantic alliances form early among the castaways, and one surprise dismissal will keep the rednecks "politicking" throughout the 15 beer-packed episodes.

UPPER LIP Plays Theater for the New City, Now thru 5/19

Theater for the New City presents 'The Upper Lip,' an adaptation by playwright/director David Willinger of William Saroyan's forgotten 1951 novel, 'Rock Wagram.' The piece has its premiere run tonight, May 2 to 19, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 3:00 PM. The running time is 1:30. Critics are invited on or after May 4.
