Before 'Great Comet,' I didn’t have a singular favorite show. If asked, I’d list off 'Wicked,' 'Les Miserables,' 'Chicago,' 'Hamilton,' and 'Evita,' but I couldn’t give just one answer.
But now, the answer is easy. This show is my absolute favorite of all time.

Winsome Pinnock's new political play finally gets a full run at the National, after its Royal Exchange Theatre premiere was curtailed due to Covid. It's apt since Pinnock began work on the play, which won the 2018 Alfred Fagon Award, while on attachment with the National Theatre's New Work Department in 2016.

One of the most famous stories in universal literature will take Sao Paulo stage. Cinderella, o Musical premieres on September 2, at Teatro Liberdade, after being seen by more than 200,000 people in its previous productions. With Fabi Bang spearheading the new cast, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella has original direction and a Brazilian version by Charles Moeller and Claudio Botelho, with Vanessa Costa signing the direction of the revival. The show returns in a big way, bringing names like Andre Loddi (Prince Topher), Gottsha (Stepmother), Helga Nemetik (Fairy Godmother), Diego Montez (Jean Michel), in a cast of 22 actors. The production is by Touche Entertainment.

The National Theatre has released production images for Rockets and Blue Lights. Directed by Miranda Cromwell, the play was first staged at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester before being cancelled due to Covid-19 and will now open in the Dorfman theatre from 25th August to 9th October 2021.
