The Groundlings' weekly Wednesday night show THE CRAZY UNCLE JOE SHOW that's been running for years, halted production like all other live entertainment. Well, Groundlings improv fans can now look forward to the beginning of the online Zoomed editions of THE CRAZY UNCLE JOE SHOW with the first installment this Wednesday May 27 @ 8pm PST. I got to socially-distance interview Stephanie Courtney and Brian Palermo, long time improvisors of THE CRAZY UNCLE JOE SHOW.

Following the huge fan response after streaming a?oeNight 2a?? in April, The Groundlings Theatre is thrilled to offer fans the opportunity to watch performances from The Groundlings 45th Anniversary Show: Night 1, celebrating alumni from 1974-1999.

After a Sold Out run as part of The Wendy Chronicles, the three staged readings in one day of Wendy Wasserstein's plays at the Braid, the original company reunites for a full production in Los Angeles this spring. The cast for Isn't it Romantic includes Lucy DeVito ('The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'), Amanda Bearse ('Married... with Children'), Andrea Bowen ('Desperate Housewives'), Danny Lee Gomez (At the Table), Ken Lerner ('The Goldbergs'), Jon Sprik ('Younger'), Mindy Sterling ('Austin Powers'), Raviv Ullman (Bad Jews).

The Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles has had a busy last few days with scores of alumni and special guests participating in their recent shows!

The talented, award-wining cast for The Wendy Chronicles, a three-play tribute to Pulitzer Prize and Tony-Winning feminist playwright Wendy Wasserstein, is now complete and ready to open on January 5 at The Braid in Santa Monica.

Come see what the brilliant cast of Groundlings and alumni unearth for this special four-week run when Groundlings Mix Tape comes to The Groundlings Theatre next month.

Director/Producer Stan Zimmerman is putting the finishing touches on The Wendy Chronicles with the casting of Academy Award nominee Michael Lerner, two-time Emmy nominated Mindy Sterling and five other up and coming film and television actors -- Allie Gonino, Danny Gomez, Melody Peng, Brittannie Bohman and Raviv Ullman.

The Groundlings' latest Friday/Saturday show GROUNDLINGS SKIS HAUS (opening December 6, 2019) will be helmed by Groundlings alumnae Karen Maruyama, who joined The Groundlings sometime in the 20th century. The ageless Karen had performed in innumerable sketches before earning her alumnae status. Aside from directing countless Groundlings shows (and its spin-off THE BLACK VERSION), Karen teaches all levels of The Groundlings Theatre & School, and at workshops in various Los Angeles venues. Karen most graciously managed to squeeze in some time to answer some of my grounded questions.

Three plays by Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein will be presented in two triple-header days of theatre readings when JWT, director Stan Zimmerman and an all-star cast salute the groundbreaking artist who made a career out of exploring the lives of intelligent, talented women.

The Groundlings Sunday Company is returning to the stage with a brand-new show on August 4: Sundays of Our Lives. Love stories, family troubles and suspenseful adventures embroil the denizens of the Sunday Company in every form of comedy. It's a fun cast, brimming with new talent from the top level of The Groundlings School. The show will run every Sunday from now until October 27 and tickets are $16.

The fifth annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival (MLFF), taking place May 22 through 26, is pleased to announce this year's Sierra Spirit Award honoree and Closing Night film.
