The Groundlings, directly segueing from their sold-out GROUNDLINGS HOLIDAY SHOW, will be working hard this New Year's Eve providing a special night of complete improvisations with GROUNDLINGS NEW YEAR'S EVE SPECTACULAR! SPECTACULAR!'s director David Jahn, a Groundlings alumnus, took a few moments out of his busy holiday schedule to answer my inquisitive questions.

On Monday, October 22, The Groundlings will launch a spooky new episode of their hilarious sketch comedy online video series, Groundlings Originals. The Halloween-themed episode titled "Take One" follows mama bear, Tanya Jones, as she does whatever it takes to get her son some candy. The episode was directed by Alex Staggs, written by Kiel Kennedy and Lyric Lewis, and stars Kiel Kennedy, Lyric Lewis, Michael Churven and Patty Guggenheim.

Digital network Brat just finished production on its first multicam sitcom “Hotel Du Loone,” which is slated to air beginning June 27th on the Brat YouTube Channel. Set inside a wacky and wondrous hotel, the show stars 9-year-old Hayley LeBlanc, “The Thunderman's” Chris Tallman, “Hart of Dixie's” Alex Rose Wiesel, “Hannah Montana” alum Jason Earles and other supporting cast such as Mindy Sterling, Terri Ivens and Reinaldo Zavarce.

The Groundlings Theatre and School's second annual Diversity Festival will celebrate and explore diversity and inclusion. The weekend, co-sponsored by NBC and Nickelodeon, will include a full day of performances that will be free and open to the public. Attendees will also be invited to join other festivities taking place throughout the day including food trucks, raffle prizes (such as free Groundlings tickets and classes), and free swag.

Director and playwright Stan Zimmerman has found his quartet of actors for his new comedy Knife to the Heart, co-written with Christian McLaughlin. The show will play a limited run of 3 WEEKS ONLY for 9 performances (May 4-20) at the Dorie Theatre, part of The Complex on LA's famed Theatre Row (6476 Santa Monica Blvd, LA CA 90038). Show times are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. The cast includes Chelsea Kane ('Baby Daddy'), Todd Sherry ('Parks & Recreation'), Josh Zuckerman (A Delicate Ship) and four-time Emmy-nominee Patricia Richardson ('Home Improvement').
