The York Theatre Company has announced the cast and full creative team for its revised version of Vanities—The Musical, with book by Jack Heifner, music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, music direction by Deborah Abramson, and choreography by Shannon Lewis. The show will be directed by Will Pomerantz.

George Salazar, Janet Dacal and Maurico Martinez will lead The Who's Tommy in Concert at the FIM Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint, Michigan this month. Performances are set for November 18 and 19, 2022.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) hosted its first-ever full student matinee, on Thursday, October 20 at 11 a.m. Students from seven middle and high schools from throughout the region attended a special performance of the Playhouse’s acclaimed production of “Evita,” followed by a talk-back session with members of the cast and educators from the Playhouse. Bucks County Playhouse’s production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber–Tim Rice musical “Evita” continues through October 30. The Playhouse released a montage of scenes from the production—including portions of 'Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and “And the Money Kept Rolling In (And Out)”. All Things Equal – The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a new play by multiple-Tony Award winning playwright Rupert Holmes, will launch its 16 city, 2022-2023 National Tour on Oct. 5th in St. Petersburg, FL.  

Bucks County Playhouse's reimagined Evita, directed by Will Pomerantz, is one of the most creatively staged productions of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit to come along in years. The rags to riches story of one of the world’s most charismatic and controversial political figures receives a new look, in an exciting, intimate production at Bucks County Playhouse, September 23 – October 30.

Rubicon Theatre Company will present the third production of its 2022-2023 Season with ALMOST, MAINE, written by JOHN CARIANI and directed by STEPHANIE A. COLTRIN.  ALMOST, MAINE begins previews on Wednesday, September 7; opens on Saturday, September 10 at 7 p.m.; and runs through Sunday, September 25.

I had the honor of seeing the original Broadway cast of the Tony-winning musical Ragtime as my very first Broadway show. So, as you can guess, I am absolutely ecstatic to see that the Bay Street Theater added it to their fantastic mainstage season this year. This well done and heart rendering incarnation is excellently directed by Will Pomerantz - who also serves at Bay Street's Associate Artistic Director - and runs through August 28th at the gorgeous Sag Harbor venue.

Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a celebration at their East Hampton estate for Bay Street Theater, honoring Mercedes Ruehl and Harris Yulin. Ruehl and Yulin were honored with Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center For The Arts's Joel Grey Lifetime Achievement Award as actors and for their many years of support for the East End's arts community.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts have announced a special three-day performance of Indian Summer, written by Gregory S. Moss and directed by Cameron King, opening Thursday, August 25, and running through Saturday, August 27.
