Chance Theater has announced its third Chance Cyber Chat Series. Just because the doors of the Bette Aitken theater arts Center are temporarily closed, it doesn't mean that we can't still get together, connect and chat on a virtual theater trip! In fact... you could say that now is the best time to focus on community and exhilarating theater productions.

Art House Productions is thrilled to announce the winner and honorable mentions for their first Visual Art Competition sponsored by Mack-Cali Realty/Harborside JC: a?oePressing Pause: Living Life While Staying Puta??. The winner is a?oeAn Invincible Summera?? by Karen Abada. Honorable mentions include a?oeZoom with Friendsa?? by Donna O' Grady, a?oeThe Opposite of Confinementa?? by Dorie Dahlberg, and a?oeOrganisims la?? by Robert Burger. The winner was selected from 170 works of art from a total of 74 New Jersey Artists based on creativity, artistic excellence, and relevance to the theme.

Art House Productions has announced the Art House Gallery Online. Despite these uncertain and vulnerable times, Art House sustains its mission to keep the arts accessible to all. This virtual gallery features work from Jersey City and other regionally-based artists, who work in a wide variety of mediums.

Spring Awakening, the rock musical that took Broadway by storm, plays at the Mysterium Theater at the La Habra Depot Playhouse located at 311 S Euclid in La Habra from August 18- Sept 3.  Produced by Marla Ladd, directed and choreographed by Miguel Cardenas and musical direction is by Gabby Maldonado, the musical tells of a group of pubescent students who navigate the anxieties of coming-of-age in a provincial world as their budding sexuality takes us from youthful lust to tragic consequences.

Summer is quickly approaching, and Art House's JC Fridays will kick off the season with 55 exciting visual and performing arts events! Come out and celebrate with this city-wide festival on Friday, June 2, 2017. Restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces throughout Jersey City will showcase a variety of art-related happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts, educational demonstrations, and more.
