NYMPHO VS. THE SEX ZOMBIES, book, music & lyrics by Michael Shaw Fisher, choreography by Brin Hamblin, musical direction by Sandy Chao Wang and directed by Sarah Haworth-Hodges. DR. NYMPHO VS. THE SEX ZOMBIES will open on Friday, April 26 at 8pm and perform through Sunday, May 26 at Celebration Theatre @ the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave. in Los Angeles.

Sacred Fools Theater Company is concluding its 22st season on a comically twisted note with the World Premiere of Tangerine Sunset, written by Peter Fluet and directed by JJ Mayes. Opening Friday, March 15 and running through April 13 on the Main Stage at the Broadwater Theater Complex, the hilariously bizarre comedy will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm.

After a sold-out Wallis debut in July, A Little New Music will spotlight another lineup of emerging musical theatre talents for The Sorting Room's 2018 Winter Session at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m. A Little New Music's audiences will enjoy original musical theatre songs firsthand before they hit Broadway or the regional circuit.

Sacred Fools Theater Company is excited to kick off its 21st season with the Los Angeles premiere of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, written by Anne Washburn (score by Michael Friedman/lyrics by Anne Washburn) and directed by Jaime Robledo.

The 27th Annual LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards, celebrating theatrical excellence and achievement throughout Los Angeles, were presented on Tuesday, January 17, at the Ahmanson Theatre at The Music Center.

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Monday, November 14th at 8:30pm for another stellar showcase of emerging musical theater writers, featuring performers from Broadway and beyond.

I love a good prequel, especially when a contemporary playwright decides to take on the back story of a hallowed play by the likes of William Shakespeare. I mean, come on. Daring to tread on that playing field takes some guts because you know before you begin that audiences are going to have high expectations of your work. They also know where you need to end your story in order for Shakespeare's to begin so getting there must be highly inventive and worthy of its foregone conclusion.
