Blasting off the festival in its 14th year will be the U.S. Premiere of David Gordon Green's razor-sharp new contribution to the HALLOWEEN canon with legendary actor Jamie Lee Curtis—along with HALLOWEEN producers Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block in attendance! Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

This satirical musical hoedown about living the American Dream tells the tale of what happens when the town gets convinced by the new Preacher as their "For Profit Prophet" and the son of a reality TV producer from Hollywood, Peter Martinez (Jamie Daniels), that the way to its salvation, fame and fortune is through being the subject of a new "Reality TV" show so the Preacher can raise funds to build a new "Mega-Church" in town to spread the gospel and bring more citizens into his flock. After all, he claims, "If they believe 'The Bachelor' is real, they'll believe anything."

What larks! Maybe not for the purists nor for anyone looking for a Chekhovian analysis of the human condition, but a guilty pleasure full the laughs.

In Ruskin Group Theatre's world premiere of Ron Nelson's THE RAINBOW BRIDGE, Michael Myers briskly directs a concise 75 minutes of snappy dialogue led by the high-energy, powerhouse performance of Paul Schackman as the conflicted, haunted lawyer Jerry. Schackman nails Nelson's machine gun-spouting dialogue, full of witty angst and genuine emotions, with lots of laughs along the way.

Directed by Michael Myers at Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica, California, the world premiere of Ron Nelson's The Rainbow Bridge opens July 21st. Lynne Marie Stewart stars alongside an award winning cast which includes Mary Carrig, Emily Jerez, Jaimi Paige, Paul Schackman, L. Emille Thomas, and Mouchette Van Helsdingen.
