On Saturday, February 24, Shoshana Bean performed her album release show - Spectrum - at Ace Theater Downtown Los Angeles. Spectrum, Bean's fourth studio album which was released on February 9, is a fresh new take on the classic tradition of big band with arrangements by Grammy award-nominated arranger Alan Ferber.

One of the country's most prestigious cultural honors, The Helen Hayes Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in professional theatre throughout the Washington metropolitan area. The National Theatre's Helen Hayes Gallery set the scene for the announcement of nominees in 47 categories for artistic excellence, and the theatre companies eligible for the 2017 John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company. Coronado Playhouse opens its 2018 Season, A Family Affair, with The Addams Family, opening Friday, January 19th and running until Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at Coronado Playhouse. The Addams Family, a musical comedy, is written by the creators of the multi award-winning Jersey Boys, with music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominated composer Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) and based on characters created by Charles Addams.

Definition Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tyrone Phillips and Managing Director Neel McNeill, announces the final production of its 2017-2018 Season, the Chicago premiere of Moon Man Walk, written by James Ijames and directed by Tyla Abercrumbie. Moon Man Walk runs January 26 - February 25, 2018 in the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue, as part of Definition's tenure in the Victory Gardens Resident Theater Program. The show continues its run until August 6, 2017 at the new A.R.T./NY Theatres in the Mezzanine Theatre, located at 502 West 53rd Street and 10th Avenue.

The Movement Theatre Company, a Harlem-based nonprofit committed to showcasing emerging artists of color, presents AND I WOULD STAND LIKE THIS…, a youth centered performance and post show panel led by sexual health educator Erika Hart targeting sexual health, family dynamics, and sexual identity. The panel will take place after the July 28th matinee performance of The Movement's current production And She Would Stand Like This by Harrison David Rivers, directed by David Mendizabal, and choreographed by Kia LaBeija at the A.R.T../New York Theatres in the Mezzanine Theatre.  Current partners for this event include The Door, A Center of Alternatives, and Safe Horizon's Streetwork Project.
