Classic Stage Company, in response to new restrictions on mass gatherings due to COVID-19, has suspended rehearsals and ticket sales for its revival of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins, directed by John Doyle.

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announced that all remaining tickets for March for performances of Paula Vogel's Tony Award-winning Indecent will be sold at £20 each. These tickets will go on sale from 6am on Wednesday 11 March.

After much speculation, producers have confirmed that Sheridan Smith will revisit her award-wining portrayal of the late Cilla Black to star in Bill Kenwright's stage production, Cilla The Musical, written by BAFTA award-winning writer Jeff Pope.

Full casting has been announced for Hello, Dolly! as one of the most iconic musicals of all time comes to the Adelphi Theatre this summer. This brand new production is headlined by Imelda Staunton, as she reunites with director Dominic Cooke, following the critically acclaimed production of Follies at the National Theatre.

Jon Culshaw will star as 'Bill Bryson' in a brand-new stage production of Bryson's award-winning memoir NOTES FROM A SMALL ISLAND adapted by BAFTA and Olivier Award winning playwright Tim Whitnall. Directed by the Watermill's Artistic Director Paul Hart, the production will have its world premiere in Newbury on Thursday 24 September and play until Saturday 31 October, with a national press night on Monday 28 September. The production will then tour to Malvern, Cambridge, and Richmond, with further dates to announced.

Tony nominee and Olivier Award-winner Jenna Russell will play French singer Edith Piaf, in a new play, Piaf, at Nottingham Playhouse.

Classic Stage Company (CSC; Artistic Director, John Doyle; Chief Operating Officer/General Manager, Toni Marie Davis) has announced a three-week extension, additional cast members, and the creative team for the company's highly anticipated, rapidly-selling-out staging of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins, directed by John Doyle. The production will now run April 2 a?' June 7 (opening April 16) at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater at Classic Stage Company (136 E. 13th St, New York), spanning ten weeks of Sondheim's 90th birthday year. Tickets for all extension performances will go on sale Tuesday, March 10, at noon EST.

Maria Friedman, winner of three Olivier Awards, will lead the cast in a major new revival of Noël Coward's Hay Fever at Salisbury Playhouse, directed by Gareth Machin (22 April a?' 16 May; Press Night Friday 24 April).

Rose Theatre today announces Robert Harling's romantic comedy Steel Magnolias starring Kara Tointon (Shelby), directed by Anthony Banks. The production opens on 6 May, with previews from 1 May, and runs until 23 May.

Ruth Wilson and Matt Bomer will star in The Book Of Ruth, with Michael Arden directing the feature, according to Deadline. The film is based on the true story of Ruth Coker Burks, a devout Christian divorcée and single mother from Arkansas who became a champion and caregiver for AIDS sufferers in 1980s America.

Newly appointed Music Director and Principal Conductor David Charles Abell brings the fun and elegance of Oscar Hammerstein 2nd's masterworks to Philly in HAMMERSTEIN: The Song is You.

Full casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary revival of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park. Oliver Kaderbhai directs Alisha Bailey (Francine/Lena), Maddy Hill (Betsy/Lindsey), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), and Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), who join the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin). The production opens on 30 March, with previews from 25 March, and runs until 2 May.

Final casting is announced for the London premiere of Christopher Durang's Tony Award-winning Best Play comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Walter Bobbie (Tony award winner for 'Chicago').
