Vintage Theatre Productions presents the return of the hilarious (and very adult) “Who's Holiday” December 5 - 31.

Theater Wit has announced the return of Who’s Holiday!, a hilarious night out with a booze-guzzling, cigarette-smoking, 40-year-old Cindy Lou Who as she recalls the fateful night she met The Grinch, and the sordid events that happened after, November 25-December 30, 2022. 

Playhouse Theatre Academy will welcome back Stephanie Pope Lofgren for two exciting Fosse master classes. Stephanie is currently directing Playhouse on Park’s production of LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL, which tells the story of Billie Holiday’s final performance.

Drag Race US icon Miz Cracker will star in the European debut of WHO'S HOLIDAY by Matthew Lombardo, a wildly funny and heartfelt adults-only comedy based on the Dr Seuss classic festive tale The Grinch, that enjoyed a critically acclaimed run off Broadway in 2017.

Today's top stories include an updated mask mandate for Broadway. As of July 1, masks will be optional for those attending Broadway shows, as per the Broadway League. Company has set a closing date of July 31. The show will embark on tour in 2023-24. Plus, Weezer will have a residency on Broadway in September!

Producers of the new comedy WHEN PLAYWRIGHTS KILL, written by Matthew Lombardo and directed by Noah Himmelstein, have announced they will be pursuing an opportunity to further develop the play this summer in New York City. The production scheduled for The Bushnell’s Belding Theatre July 26th – August 7th will be rescheduled at a later date.

Arnie Burton, Nik Alexander and Irene Sofia Lucio will join previously announced Jeremy Jordan, Harriet Harris and André De Shields in the world premiere of Matthew Lombardo’s new backstage comedy WHEN PLAYWRIGHTS KILL, directed by Noah Himmelstein.

Vintage Theatre Productions announces 10 shows and two special events for the 2022-2023 season. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora. Early bird season tickets are currently on sale.

Producers Douglas Denoff & Beth Goldsmith, and 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) present the Directors Company’s production of The Lucky Star by Karen Hartman, directed by Noah Himmelstein (Rooted). The Lucky Star began previews on April 26, 2022 in Theater A and opened May 5 for a run through June 12, 2022.

 Circuit Playhouse, Inc., the organization that includes The Circuit Playhouse, TheatreWorks @ the Square, and Playhouse on the Square will celebrate 55 years of professional live theatre in Memphis’ Performing Arts District – Overton Square.
