Noel Sullivan will join the award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical from 19 August 2019 and will play the lead role of Dewey Finn at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The hit West End production, based on the iconic film of the same title, is currently booking to January 2020.

51Fest, presented by Women in the World and IFC Center, today unveiled the lineup for the inaugural event. Celebrating the voice, vision and stories of the female majority through compelling screenings and conversations, all by or about women, the first annual 51Fest will be held July 18-21 in New York City.

Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn Films have co-acquired worldwide rights to Max Lewkowicz's FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES. The documentary tells the story behind one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, Fiddler on The Roof and its creative roots in early 1960s New York. The film includes interviews with the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, legendary producer Hal Prince, original cast members, such as Austin Pendleton, as well as rare archival footage of renowned choreographer Jerome Robbins. Further insights into the play's legacy and enduring influence come from new interviews with Broadway luminaries and cultural influencers including Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chaim Topol, Harvey Fierstein as well as famed authors Fran Lebowitz, Calvin Trillin and Nathan Englander. Roadside and Goldwyn will release FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES in theatres this summer.

Last night (6 March 2019), Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical celebrated its 1000th performance in the West End at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The cast were joined in the celebrations by Julian Fellowes, who wrote the book for the show, director Laurence Connor and the show's choreographer JoAnn M. Hunter, as well as VIP guests.

Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. Following the success of her Sense and Sensibility at the Folger Theatre in 2016, Wall Street Journal's Playwright of the Year 2017 Kate Hamill, returns to D.C. with her adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel Vanity Fair. Hamill's vibrant and colorful tale about society's foibles is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Directed by Jessica Stone and featuring Rebekah Brockman as Becky Sharp, the production will run at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from February 26 through March 31, 2019.
