The Public Theater announced a one-week extension today for HUNGRY, through Sunday, March 27, part of Oskar Eustis' 10th Anniversary season. Play one, part of THE GABRIELS: Election Year in the Life of One Family, written and directed by Richard Nelson, HUNGRY begins previews on Saturday, February 27, with an official press opening on Friday, March 4. The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the world premiere three-play cycle THE GABRIELS: Election Year in the Life of One Family, written and directed by Richard Nelson. Featuring the same core acting company for all three productions, Play One: HUNGRY, will begin previews on Saturday, February 27 and run through, Sunday, March 20, with an official press opening on Friday, March 4, 2016. The second play, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?, will premiere in September and the final play in the new cycle, WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, will open on election night, November 8, 2016.

The Public Theater presents Cymbeline, the second show of The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Directed by Tony Award winnerDaniel Sullivan and featuring the previously announced Hamish Linklater as Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Lily Rabe as Imogen, Cymbeline runs through Sunday, August 23, and opened last night, August 10. The Public began the Free Shakespeare in the Park season with THE TEMPEST.

The Tony-nominated Mirror Repertory Company - whose founders and early supporters include the late actresses Eva Le Gallienne and Geraldine Page along with Paul Newman, Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino - will present its 10th annual summer season with the Greensboro Arts Alliance in Greensboro, Vermont, with a repertory of 4 plays and musicals in alternating repertory July 23-August 24 , it has been announced by Sabra Jones, the company's artistic director.

The Public Theater's Free Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest officially opened last night, June 16, and runs through Sunday, July 5, 2015. In The Tempest, Shakespeare's classic about young love, old enemies, and the eternal magic of storytelling, Prospero, exiled to a fantastical island, unleashes a churning storm to shipwreck the traitor brother who stole his throne and settle the score once and for all. But bitter revenge is upended by newfound love in this sublime masterpiece that proves we are all 'such stuff as dreams are made on.'

The Public Theater announced today that the world premiere of a new Richard Nelson three-play cycle, THE GABRIELS: Election Year in the Life of One Family, has been added to the 2015-2016 downtown season. Written and directed by Nelson, Play One: HUNGRY will begin previews on Saturday, February 27 and run through, Sunday, March 20, with an official press opening on Friday, March 4, 2016. As with The Apple Family Plays, each play in THE GABRIELS cycle will feature a core acting company and will open on the day it is set and unfold in real time over a couple of hours. The second play in the cycle will open in September 2016 and the final play will open on Election Night November 8, 2016.

The Public Theater announced today that Richard Nelson's award-winning THE APPLE FAMILY PLAYS: SCENES FROM LIFE IN THE COUNTRY will tour Europe for five weeks beginning April 23 at The Find Festival in Berlin. The other tour venues include The May International Festival in Weisbaden, Germany; The Brighton Festival in the United Kingdom; and the Vienna Festival in Austria where the tour will conclude on May 23. The tour is being produced by David Eden, Executive Producer for David Eden Productions, and co-produced and general managed by Tim Smith for Pemberley Productions.

Luna Stage begins 2015 with a revival of A Perfect Ganesh, Terrence McNally's beautiful story of love and redemption. A Perfect Ganesh opens to previews on Thursday January 29, 2015 and runs Thursdays through Sundays through February 22nd. Opening night is Saturday January 31, 2015.
