The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces casting and creative teams for the summer season of new musicals and plays selected for development at the National Music Theater Conference and National Playwrights Conference.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film have announced the next wave of casting for the highly anticipated 34th Powerhouse Season in Poughkeepsie, NY, which starts this Friday, June 22 and runs through Sunday, July 29. Actors joining the annual summer play development incubator include Tony Award nominee Raul Esparza, Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Tony Award nominee Denee Benton, Tony Award nominee Lauren Worsham, Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman, Noah Galvin, Frankie J. Alvarez, Lesli Margherita, Michael Esper, and Carson Elrod.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film will soon present the 34th Powerhouse Season, which brings together some of the most influential theatrical voices working today for fully-staged productions, workshop presentations, and readings of new plays and musicals in progress.

Irish Repertory Theatre recently celebrated ALAN JAY LERNER: A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION, this season's Gala Benefit production, on Monday, June 4th. The evening honored the extraordinary contributions of Irish Rep board member Tina Santi Flaherty, reflecting her many years of leadership support of the theatre.

Royal Family Productions, a non-profit theatre company known for its innovative productions and development of new original work, will extend its acclaimed production of WOMEN ON FIRE: Stories from the Frontlines to accommodate the demand. WOMEN ON FIRE is written, curated, and directed by Royal Family artistic director Chris Henry from stories told to her by a group of anonymous women, with choreography from Lorna Ventura. The show began performances on May 11 and extended twice due to popular demand and critical and industry acclaim. WOMEN ON FIRE: will now run through June 8, 2018 at Royal Family Performing Arts Space (145 West 46th Street, 3rd Floor). Purchase College, SUNY held its 46th annual commencement ceremony on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.

IndieSpace was instrumental in finding The Tank's new home, and we'll be celebrating The Tank's home, history, and future with this exciting event. The Off-Broadway hit show, The Bench starring Robert Galinsky, directed by Jay O. Sanders, will extend its sold-out run for a third time. In response to popular demand and critical acclaim, Ars Nova 'one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies' (New York Times), piece by piece productions and Z Space extends the world premiere of The Lucky Ones until April 28. This 5-time Lucille Lortel award nominated new musical by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days) was commissioned and developed by Ars Nova.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST.  This year's event will be hosted by actors Laura Benanti and Jason Jones and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.

 KCRep announced today that Jamie Sanders, lead actor in KCRep's THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME now playing at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus, will visit the Children's Mercy Hospital Tourette Syndrome Center of Excellence located at 2401 Gillham tomorrow Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Jamie will tour the hospital, meet the staff at Adele Hall and have a meet-and-greet with parents of children with Tourette's syndrome at 3:30 pm.
