The Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City opened its 46th season with WHO'S YOUR BAGHDADDY, OR HOW I STARTED THE IRAQ WAR on Saturday, September 7, on the Levin Stage. As with most of the productions coming out of the Unicorn Theatre the show itself was extremely well-produced, with fabulous talent, and wonderful choreography provided by Kyle Mullins.
Opening on September 28th at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) is Loch Ness, a New Musical. The show runs through October 13th at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is delighted to announce its OTR New Works lineup for 2019. We will be presenting staged readings of Jessica Huang's Transmissions in Advance of the Second Great Dying on March 6th, John Glore's Creep on May 8th, and 2016 Resident Playwright Jenny Connell Davis' End of Shift on October 9th. As far as wacky titles go Who's Your Baghdaddy? Or, How I Started The Iraq War is a doozy. First-time listeners might be a little wary of this wacky, weird concept, but they'd be missing out. The musical, whose original cast recording is out now, follows a group of intelligence officers who stumble into a series of discoveries that lead the world into the Iraq War. If that doesn't sound like compelling material for a musical - just stay with me for a moment.
