Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is delighted to announce its OTR New Works lineup for 2019. We will be presenting staged readings of Jessica Huang's Transmissions in Advance of the Second Great Dying on March 6th, John Glore's Creep on May 8th, and 2016 Resident Playwright Jenny Connell Davis' End of Shift on October 9th. We will also be doing a LAB Workshop of a new play (which is still being written) by our 2019 Resident Playwright, Jessica Huang from July 18th - 21st. All performances will take place at the Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 34 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2019 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 21 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Philadelphia Theatre Company welcomes back everyone's favorite princesses for a heart-warming afternoon and evening concert for the entire family. During A Dream Is A Wish: Holiday Princess Concert audiences will sing-along with a gathering of  princes and princesses from popular movie musicals and television shows in a one-day-only event on Sunday, December 16, at 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite prince or princess. After the show, the cast will host  a meet-and-greet reception with holiday cookies, apple cider and photo opportunities. The Holiday Princess Concert will take place at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). THML Theatre Company concludes its fall reading series with a presentation of Salaam Medina: Tales of a Halfghan by Rona Siddiqui. Directed by Marshall Pailet and music directed by Heathcliff Saunders, the reading will take place on Monday, November 12th at 2:00pm at Ripley Grier Studios.

Dramatists Play Service will celebrate the publication of the new musical 'Who's Your Baghdaddy, or how i started the iraq war' with an event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at Drama Book Shop, 250 W. 40th St.

As far as wacky titles go Who's Your Baghdaddy? Or, How I Started The Iraq War is a doozy. First-time listeners might be a little wary of this wacky, weird concept, but they'd be missing out. The musical, whose original cast recording is out now, follows a group of intelligence officers who stumble into a series of discoveries that lead the world into the Iraq War. If that doesn't sound like compelling material for a musical - just stay with me for a moment.

Atlantic for Kids presents the world premiere production of Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, featuring words and music by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul and a book by Timothy Allen McDonald to kick off their season.

For over 50 years TheaterWorksUSA has presented family-friendly adaptations of celebrated books on stages across the country. THML Theatre Company is proud to announce its second season: Opening Doors & Closing the Gap. This season will consist of a private reading series in the fall to launch the development of 3 new plays and 2 new musicals, and a two-month residency at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City to premier 3 plays, 1 musical, and 1 special musical event in spring 2019. The season will feature the work of 6 female playwrights, 1 female composer, and 4 female composer/lyricists.

Creative Endeavor Office announced today that the immersive concert experiences Reunion '69 and Reunion '85 begin performances on Thursday, July 26 at 7.30pm at the Elizabeth Eriksen Byron Theatre at the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts (2344 East Iliff Avenue).

The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the epic adventure musical Loch Ness. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run from July 6th-8th and 10th-14th, with a preview on July 5th.

SHEL: A Historically Fictionalized Musical will be the latest new musical to benefit from Broadway Dreams' New Works Development Project. With a book, music, and lyrics by Noah Kieserman, SHEL will receive workshops this summer at Theatre Calgary in Canada, the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, NC, and the Herb Alpert Center at Harlem School of the Arts in NYC as part of the non-profit's Summer Performing Arts Intensive Tour, The Hits Reimagined.
