On October 15, teens from stage and screen came together at The Green Room 42 to perform a show they created, entitled #WeHaveaVoice. They played to a packed, sold-out house, singing songs with themes relevant to them including dreams and aspirations, belonging, family, and love. Their benefit concert raised over $2,500 for Covenant House, an organization they felt is important, relevant, and in need of their help, especially after the devastating weather that caused damage to seven of their shelters. Lyrics for Life has released a recording and music video to Pasek & Paul's You Will Be Found in honor of National Suicide Prevention Week. The video features 140 performers from Broadway, National Tours, TV, Film, singer/songwriters and award-winning dancers, all under the age of 25.

Thommie Retter (Billy Elliot) and Retter Entertainment ring in the holidays for the HOW MANY consecutive year with This Way To Broadway Live: Jingle Jam!, an original musical/song and dance showcase for audiences of all ages on Sunday, December 4 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre, 10 West 64th Street. The show brings together talented kid performers from the stage and screen-many of whom have already appeared on Broadway and on tour-and others who are Broadway bound. The script was penned by mother/daughter writing team Sheryl Berk and Carrie Berk (Peace, Love & Cupcakes: The Musical; Fashion Academy: The Musical) with original songs by Thommie Retter and Rick Hip-Flores (In Transit; Fun Home; Billy Elliot). During NYC Pride week, performers from Fun Home, The King and I, Macbeth, Matilda, South Pacific, Les Miserables, A Christmas Story and Kinky Boots came together in a photo shoot to raise funds and awareness for the mass shootings in Orlando and around the country.

On Monday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama, several young past and present performers from Broadway joined forces in a benefit cabaret to raise money and show support for the victims, survivors and those suffering as a result of the mass shooting in Orlando this month. The benefit was entitled Broadway Kids for Orlando: All You Need is Love. One hundred percent of the proceeds are being donated to the GLBT Center of Central Florida, and all 49 victims of The Pulse Nightclub shooting were honored in the program.
