Renowned singer-songwriter JD Hinton has released the first single off of his upcoming EP release this spring.

At the time, Hinton found inspiration in unlikely places, including a Starbucks in Austin where he wrote lyric ideas over a tall dark coffee. The track, recorded at Los Angeles' Eagle Rock studio, aims to capture the feeling of spinning out of control, blending grooves with chaotic production to mirror the song's essence.

Theater Latté Da (TLD) announced today that it has chosen Justin Lucero as its next Artistic Director. Lucero will join TLD in mid-October, co-leading the organization with Managing Director Elisa Spencer-Kaplan.

Today's subject was kind enough to give me an hour of his time in the balcony of the place he lived his theatre life for almost 40 years.  I'm sure there isn't a person here in DC who would argue that Howard Shalwitz was one of the most influential minds in the DC theatre community as the Artistic Director of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Under Shalwitz, Woolly Mammoth produced some of the most thought provoking, wild, and sometimes shocking pieces of theatre this area has ever seen. Shalwitz stepped down in 2018 and the company is now run by Maria Manuela Goyanes. Mr. Shalwitz remains as Artistic Director Emeritus.

Lovers come and go in this musical journey, a sensual and fun-loving one-woman tribute performance celebrating the iconic ingenue and the loves of her life. This show pays homage to the many loves and romances in the life of Monroe, in a what-if scenario of performing in Las Vegas - fulfilling a wish that sadly Monroe never got to do.
