Carol Burnett will play a character named “Marion.” In addition to Burnett, as previously announced, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, will appear reprising their Breaking Bad roles of “Walter White” and “Jesse Pinkman,” respectively, as the show draws to its conclusion.

FLIPSIDE: The Patti Page Story celebrates its ten year anniversary production at St. Luke's downtown. Written and developed by UCO MT Dept. Head Greg White, FLIPSIDE is a celebration of the life and career of Oklahoma-born icon Patti Page. The musical features some of the best known tunes from 'The Singin' Rage, Ms. Patti Page'.

What did our critic think of MSMT's Sound of Music? What happens when one of the most beloved musicals in the canon comes to the stage at the very point in time when history and a harsh pandemic seem to intersect with an iconic story?

The musical new musical based on Betty Boop will feature music from David Foster, a book by Tony Award-winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom) and lyrics by Susan Birkenhead (Jelly's Last Jam, High Society). Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Legally Blonde) will direct and choreograph.

AMC Networks has announced that it had greenlit a new series starring Bob Odenkirk for 2023 called Straight Man, with partners Sony Pictures’ Television TriStar TV and Gran Via. The project was announced as fast-track development earlier this month in advance of AMC Networks’ upfront event in New York City, and that turned out to be one fast track.

Japan Society presents Part of the Okinawa in Focus series and the Globus Film Series, Visions of Okinawa: Cinematic Reflections. The screenings of these films are set for May 13th through June 3rd. In-theater screenings are set for May 13th through May 21st. Virtual screenings will run from May 14th through June 3rd. Aaron Zelman and Paul Lieberstein, who are adapting the project from the novel of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo, would serve as co-showrunners. Straight Man would be Odenkirk’s third series on AMC, following Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Eric Bogosian has been cast in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as “Daniel Molloy,” a journalist nearing the end of his career who’s given a second chance at the interview of a lifetime. Based on Anne Rice’s novel, the series follows Louis de Pointe, Lestat De Lioncourt and Claudia’s epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality.

Airing on five consecutive Saturdays, the marathon will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews and bonus content, including Better Call Saul “Easter eggs” and Breaking Bad trivia - one factoid per episode. It will also explore connections between fan-favorite characters from both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

AMC Networks today announced that it has greenlit two new original series for 2023, Demascus and Invitation to a Bonfire. Both shows were developed as part of AMC’s “scripts-to-series” model, which opens writers’ rooms to develop prospective series that, in success, move straight-to-series.

The Eisemann Center has announced the return of Eisemann Center Presents with two new shows and the return of an Eisemann Center favorite in 2022. These shows are joining the previously announced four-concert series of Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel. 

AMC Networks today announced it has greenlit “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” a new series based on the “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” trilogy, for AMC+ and AMC. The second series in an expanding Anne Rice universe, “Mayfair” will follow “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire” with a late 2022 premiere. The first season will include eight episodes.

Halloween is my favorite time of year, with its ghosts, goblins, haunted houses, and Rocky. The season has been made more extraordinary this year with the opening of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at The Black Box, in the historic West Bottoms of Kansas City, MO. Having missed the 2020 season due to the pandemic Padgett Productions has renewed, to the delight of a large audience, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. How good is the show? The best answer I can give is I’ve done something I seldom do, bought tickets to see it again before it closes.
