National Youth Theater has announced their upcoming production of The Sound of Music, the world's most beloved musical, set to be performed in March.

The Sauk, Hillsdale County's community theatre, has announced their complete 2023 season that includes two classic musicals, an Agatha Christie murder mystery, the funniest play ever written and a holiday story set in Michigan.

Broadway International Group and Broadway Asia’s international touring production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved classic 'The Sound of Music' has released tickets for its March 2023 run at the Samsung Performing Arts Theatre at Circuit Makati. The Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) at the Washington Pavilion presents five performances of THE SOUND OF MUSIC November 17–20, 2022, at the Orpheum Theater Center.

Beginning Dec 3rd, at Montreal’s legendary Théâtre St-Denis, audiences will finally have a chance to witness the highly anticipated performance of one of the most beloved musicals of all time! For the first time ever, The Sound of Music will be presented in English at Théâtre St-Denis, with a star-studded cast featuring Sophie Naubert in the iconic role of Maria Rainer and Frayne McCarthy as Captain von Trapp. 

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present The Sound of Music at THE BLACK BOX in Franklin, MA October 14-23.

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain,' 'My Favorite Things,' 'Do Re Mi,' 'Sixteen Going on Seventeen' and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. Music by Richard Rodgers, Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, Directed by Michael Ruehrmund and Katey Munger, featuring the Westerville Symphony. Despite the minor tweaks and modern aspects of the production, this is still the same classic musical that is suitable and enjoyable for the entire family. Singapore’s most talented actors and actresses have been picked from a pool of over 300 applicants for the coveted roles of the six von Trapp children in the forthcoming Broadway production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Sands Theatre from 22 November 2022.

The Aspen Music Festival and School and Theatre Aspen announced the complete casting for a very special concert production of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC in Concert on Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26 at 7:30 pm in the Benedict Music Tent .
