Donmar Warehouse Announces Michael Longhurst's First Season - FAR AWAY, EUROPE & More!

The first production will be a revival of David Greig's visionary early play Europe, directed by Michael Longhurst in his first production as Artistic Director of the Donmar. Written 25 years ago, it is prophetic in its vision of Europe today - as a continent, a refuge, an idea. Cast includes Billy Howle (MotherFatherSon, On Chesil Beach), Kevork Malikyan (Exodus: Gods and Kings, The Cut), Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones, The Darkest Hour), Stephen Wight (The Paradise, Bluestone 42), and Shane Zaza (Happy Valley, Press).

RSC Will Tour AS YOU LIKE IT, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and MEASURE FOR MEASURE

For the first time the Royal Shakespeare Company will tour three productions in repertoire to six regional theatres, playing for two weeks in each venue. As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure will visit Salford in September 2019, and then Canterbury, Plymouth, Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Blackpool in early 2020. Performance dates at the end of the release.

Casting Announced For RSC 2019 Season: AS YOU LIKE IT, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, and MEASURE FOR MEASURE

The collaborative, cross-cast company is announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) productions of As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure, playing in a newly reconfigured Royal Shakespeare Theatre next summer. All three productions will then tour in repertoire for the first time to six regional theatres in 2019 and 2020. The actors will each appear in two of the three plays performed as part of the Summer 2019 repertoire. Design for all three productions is by Stephen Brimson Lewis, Director of Design for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

BWW Review: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

It's over 35 years since Little Shop of Horrors had its off-Broadway debut, but it remains a consistent choice for revival. Now Director Maria Aberg brings a new version to Regent's Park Open Air Theatre that indicates the show will be as successful as ever. Despite the incredulous story of hapless assistant-florist Seymour's discovery of a new plant that turns out to only thrive on human flesh, along with a dubious subplot of domestic violence, the production's musical numbers such as 'Suddenly, Seymour' and 'Skid Row' remain as catchy and vibrant as ever.

BWW Interview: Marc Antolin Talks LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

It's big...it's green...and no, it's not just the park! This summer, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre stages Little Shop of Horrors with rehearsals currently underway.  Though his character Seymour may be 'full of broken dreams', Marc Antolin certainly isn't. Taking on his dream role, Marc shares his favourite songs from the show and why he loves returning to Regent's Park.
